  1. Everytime I have to wait minutes for that last stupid Fighter to dock something in me dies. Most ships who use Fighters have Transporter upgrades anyway, just let Fighters teleport into the mothership. The current docking is horrendous. If you are by any means concerned about balancing, cause you may think a player should be punished for attacking an anti fighter enemy and shouldnt instantly be able to fix their mistake give it a timer, still better than to not even know when the last asshat is gonna find his way. Or give is a button to execute that Idiot who should have his pilot license revoked and let that raise moral on the ship. last part is a joke...kinda

  2. When you enter building mode, the camera defaults to aiming diagonally left and back. When you exit build mode, the direction your camera is currently facing remains the same back out in normal view. So if you accidentally open build mode and immediately close it, your ship starts spinning around away from whatever you were pointing at, potentially causing problems if you're mid-combat.... you have to intentionally remember for yourself to toggle freelook before entering build mode, or to point the camera forward again before you exit build mode, if you don't want to mess with your aim and make your ship spin around like an idiot. There's a similar problem with strategic view: when you enter strategic view, the camera zooms way out and up, then turns to look diagonally down at your ship. However when you exit strategic view, the camera just zooms straight in at your ship without turning, so your ship immediately noses down and you have to look back up every single time (you can even rapidly toggle strategic view on and off to spin in a forwards loop). These are ESPECIALLY annoying if you are using smooth camera because you can't quickly snap the camera back around to your previous direction, so your ship turns almost all the way around before you move the camera far enough to start turning back forward again.

  3. Swoks should have different dialogue, becoming slowly self aware with each one based on the amount of times he gets killed. If a character is at least somewhat responsive to his previous deaths, it feels stale for it to be an endless "What happened to the 9,532 swoks that tried to kill you? They died, but now it's my turn to rise to power!" It's a small ask with the goal to make him more interesting or comical based on how many times the player(s) delete his ship. It would also at least give the game something memorable.

  4. I'd be okay with teleporters able to transport fighters back to you. Phezzan makes a good point that this could be an opportunity to provide a reason for more than a 0.5^3 teleporter block. Could have similar rules to assembly blocks. More teleporter volume increases frequency and more blocks means more simultaneous teleportations with materials-based limitations.

  5. This game is cpu/draw call/server bound. I'd be shocked if you saw any improvement at all. my 470 is fine.

  6. The game has no reputation issue. The fact that you simply did not take an interest is that in your native system at the shipyard you can buy a ship with a captain and it may even be a simple cube exclusively for your problems, not games. Everything in the game is so simple that you don't even have to look for clues on the Internet. After 2 hours of play, as soon as I bought it, I already had 4 resource collectors with AI captains in my native system. Buy yourself a cube with 1 captain at the shipyard in your home system and stop talking nonsense.

  7. In my experience, I have also run into this problem of advancing from startup quadrant where you start with excellent reputation into areas of the 3rd and 4th quadrant towards core and realizing I need captains and running into Reputation issue. Now, I always remember to purchase a couple before leaving the friendly Rep area where I start. That will solve that issue. But you will need to plan ahead and decide where you will be going and need to raise your rep with a new faction. I think the Reputation aspect of the game is a very important core feature - you could not have a functional universe without it - to decide who is at war and who is friendly and gets access to the best turrets etc.. And if you do not already know, the "Free Slaves" mission randomly given by stations in their bulletin will allow you to basically purchase 15000 rep for around 200,000+ credits by paying off the pirates for the slaves. Doing that a couple times gives a big boost to Rep. Selling ores/ items to a faction also gives a big boost. Hope that helps.
