I'm still relatively new to the game and haven't gotten too far in, so 8-9 slots would work for me. My preference for the build is 200k HP and shield along with decent mobility. As far as aesthetics go, I really don't have a preference.

I'm not sure if this is where this post should go, but I'm looking for a battleship blueprint. I'm terrible at building ships so I use workshop blueprints. I'm currently stuck around the outside of the center barrier. The resource cost that I'm comfortable with is a few hundred thousand of anything. Credits are not an issue. I've got a few carrier type ships at the moment with miner/salvager fighters but I'd like to build a good sized battleship. Any ideas or recommendations?

I use Nitrado for my server. It is pretty inexpensive and I've never had any issues with 5 people on at a time on the cheapest configuration. They also offer good tech support, which is always a plus.

Oh man, those lasers sound gnarly.
I don't know how I would feel about the original turrets being taken out of the turret factories. I always felt outclassed just outside of the center barrier until I built these railguns. They're opening the door to more materials/cashflow which (I'm hoping) will make the transition to the center more doable.

I just started playing a couple weeks ago and finally made my first turrets. I put two of these guys on my ship and now I'm one shotting most enemies that I come across.

I just started an Avorion server up. It's hosted in Germany and has 10 slots with no mods. It's only me and a few friends playing on it at the moment. Usually never more than 3 at a time. Others are free to join. If you want the connection info, let me know.
