Xsotan ships are often made of many tiny pieces. Maybe we're just seeing a cumulative rounding error?
48.8% of 1 = 0, for example

With a large battle happening in system I was able to reliably make the toggle work again by turning the camera away from the fighting. as soon as the other ships were off screen it worked.

Base turret stats:
Stats after adding Laser compressors to max: (about 4000 less damage /s)
Stats after adding a few laser heads: (note negateve damage /s)
Stats after adding more laser heads: (note damage /s value no longer appears in stats window)
I don't think there are any logs that will help with this issue, but if I'm mistaken let me know and I can provide whatever would be helpful.

Apparently, the seed and difficulty had been changed but all other settings had not. Not sure how that might've happened.

Just noticed the rifts in my save have moved significantly. Explored systems are in rifts now which you can only get into through gates.

If my hypothesis is correct a >50.1% salvager would give much *better* yield than expected on a Xsotan wreck.
Unfortunately I don't have such a turret to test with.
