It worked for me! Everything must be done according to the instructions of the author! After entering the command /tmod, exit the session to the main menu of the game and load the save again. Turret icon appears.

If the instructions are unclear drop the 'mods' folder in: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Avorion\data\scripts

And then drop the data folder here: C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Avorion
