  1. Thank you, these issues will be fixed in the next release!
  2. Hi Alfred96! The ships are saved as plaintext xml files, so you can look at the format and see how it is structured. Some people have written tools to convert to this format, if you search you might find something. But keep in mind that in Avorion ships are constructed from blocks, so not every 3d mesh can be converted.
  3. I'm glad you like it! ;D The turret size changing is a bug, thanks for reporting! The fix will be live very soon.
  4. Hi gn_leugim! We're working on these issues, thanks for reporting!
  5. Hi Adramos, thank you! We already have a lot planned and also very much implemented. We have many different kinds of turrets, all with a distinctive look and varying number of barrels. They already have a different scale for turret and base depending on their strength. You can see some in the ending screen of the demo. Ai controlled turrets are planned and we have an idea how to do it, but we'll have to try it to make it feel good and work out all the details. And huge static guns with lots of recoil, I like the idea!
  6. Do you mean building turrets yourself? In the full game you will be able to research at turret lab stations so you can develop the guns you like
  7. Hi monsterzero! Stations and ships are scaled with the faction strength, so the closer you get to the center of the galaxy the bigger they will be. This has the following nice effect: after playing for some time when you return to some earlier, weaker sector you're really overpowered ;D It really shows the progress you've made! If you build a ship that's too big you need more crew, money, energy and thrust, so you can't just build infinitely big; it's limited in a natural way. On the other hand if you can you've earned it. Concerning docks: Docks that you can fly into are no good when your ship is too big. I think the current solution works well; you don't need to touch it but you need to be quite close, so if you want to dock often, you better have an agile ship ;) In the full version docks have a distinguishable "dock block". If it gets destroyed it's gone.
  8. :D :D :D :D :D :D I nearly fell off my chair!
  9. Hi guys! I'm extremely happy and excited to announce that Avorion is now live on Kickstarter! Please consider backing us and help spread the word! (click the image to get to kickstarter) Also, a new, improved version of the demo has been released. Check it out! And finally: look at that
  10. Hi and welcome to the Forums! We haven't had this issue before. Could you please post a screenshot? Press F12 ingame to take a screenshot, you will then find it in (your user folder)/AppData/Roaming/Avorion/Screenshots
  11. Hello there! My name is Philipp and I will be the 2nd dev of Avorion. Koonschi and I met at university while pursuing our mutual interest in computer graphics and collaborated on several occasions. We became good friends and he often showed me his progress on Avorion. So now I'll be working to speed up development. I'm really excited to be a part of this awesome project! Maybe you've already seen some of my doing on koonschi's twitter feed: https://twitter.com/koonschi/status/688413774106259456
