  1.

    How about my scale of "comet" through "supergalaxy"? I could tweak it so it would have 15 categories to represent up to 15 module slots:

    Naw I am sorry to tell you but that sounds lame and kinda sucks.

    I really like the scout-fighter-fright on up type thing

    more like

    1 = Scout
    2 = Light Fighter
    3 = Medium Fighter
    4 = Heavy fighter
    5 = Frigate
    6 = Freighter (yes I have seen big big cargo haulers in game :)
    7 = Destroyer
    8 = Light Cruiser
    9 = Heavy Cruiser
    10 = Battlecruiser
    11 = Battleship (first capital class)
    12 = Dreadnought
    13 = Super Dreadnought
    14 = Star Destroyer
    15 = Super Star Destroyer
    20 = Death star :P

  2. Newtonian flight mechanics might be realistic but they are any thing but fun.

    90% of all fights result in flying circles why going backwards around a target or just being a meat shield shooting at each other. :(

    I like the old incorrect style where you could have full on dogfights.

    I believe such a style could be achieved in this game by just attaching a script that makes all energy generators and engines produce a massive amount of DRAG. This would be realistic if they used some sort of gravity distortion to operate witch could very well be the case.

    Another harder but better way would be to make a new Iron block that produced drag and could be switched on and off at will. With this way tho the modder would need to add the block to all npc ships witch I am not sure is possible.

    After this is added the Ai may also need a few tweaks like keep engines at set power% or mps at a certain speed during fights.

  3. What about freighters? I'd say let people add their own classes.

    Ya I don't know the order of classifications but I know there is a list of them out there somewhere.

    In general a ship of a certain size is classified as a specific class.

    It don't have to be part of the game if you don't like but for me this be really awesome. If I had the modding knowledge Id even like to have populated sectors acknowledge your presence if your over a particular size. And in some cases demand you power down your weapons while in the sector or Demand to know your purpose.

    I mean who in their right mind wants a Super star Destroyer or a Super Dreadnought to just POP into there capital city unannounced!

  4. Can some one make a simple UI mod that dose two things:

    1 Changes the module screen that says you need Blah blah to unlock this next module slot to saying A Ship classification then the requirement.

    IE:

    default class Scout

    Light Fighter: 128k CM

    Medium fighter: 320k CM

    Heavy Fighter: 800k CM

    Corvette: 2000K CM

    Frigate: 8000K CM

    so on and so forth all the way to Supper Dreadnought (or maybe even Death star lol)

    2:

    A small UI tag under sector name that shows your current classification.

    and if not TOO hard one that shows it in the build menu some where.

    Thanks in advance

  5. Right now Npc are all randomly generated UGLY ships.

    But players are making awesome stuff like check out thees

    He has a lot of them to.

    It be awesome if you made a new sub form were players make 5 ships per a faction: Light fighter, Cargo ship, Gunship, Capitol ship, Space station. And you then insert those creations into the game so they will be randomly used by a faction.

    If we get 20 players to make a full set of ships we be set :) and I am sure there will be a lot more then 20. Heck some players might make 3 or 4 sets.

    Thanks to the game design all ships can be scaled in size and mats changed to lower or higher tire. So it would not make NPCs over or under powered.

    This would instantly Make the game 10X better and new players/potential buyers would  be in aw!

    Also it be awesome if once a player reaches a high faction standing he can sell ship designs to that faction and they will start using them.

  6. If you copy paste the design into the toolbar you can increase or decrease its size as well thus adjusting the amount of iron required as well.

    I don't  own the game yet just the demo so I was wondering what you mean by this.

    I like the look of the game so far however having a bunch of small servers not a main one kinda sucks and I dislike steam. If it was on GOG I'd have bought it alrady.
