  1. I have no response as of yet However it is my understanding that the Dev of the game is the one who set's workshop parameters. And I believe it must be true because I can upload and post on workshop to other games using my youtube steam account that dose not own the game directly no problem at all. What I am asking for is for koonchi or a dev to change the settings to allow me to post with my you tube account or if for some strange reason they do not wish to allow those with family share the use of the work shop to contact me to work out another way that I might be able use my you tube account.   2. Any time I try to upload a file to work shop I get Upload error. I believe this is because I am sharing the game with this account via family share. I do this because this is my You tube channel's account and I want to keep it separate from my default account. However I must!!! be able to upload to this account to show case my work. Can a Dev or moderater pleas contact me ASP with a fix. LordMaddog

So, I know the combat re-balance has been talked about to no end and I know costume turrets is currently in the works and my ultimate hope is that turrets will be more like how you equip armor/weapons in RPGs. ( you make your costume turret slot on the ship then equip the looted turret to it.) But I think it would be awesome if when we go to place a turret we could hold Q to scale it and the damage, gunner cost, and, the slot cost would scale with the size. This would allow for soooo much more customizing, and make the game 20x better and I don't think the script for enabling it would take more then one day to write

  5. This just makes it grindy, but not at all difficult Ah okay... I don't think you are thinking your statement through. You can make all Npc more powerful :ie more life more dps blah blah.(and there is servers that do this) However with a little time mining the asteroid fields a player can make a ship that dwarfs them. Its easy because a player can instantly make better ships, so no matter how hard you make it all you do is increase grinding time on scrap fields and shooting rocks. On the other hand if you limit the size of ship a player can make and force him to do missions/kill pirates trade goods Blah blah blah to gain rep the whole game actually becomes about playing the game instead of circumventing 75% of it to you have a the resources to be op.
  6. Fun and playability. I mean think about it! How awesome it feel to release a squad of your own costume made Xwings or tie fighters that were actual ships? Fighters atm are cheap gimmicky spamming crap that don't even have collision.

He's been exploiting an alliance bug to circumvent safezones destroying assets for the last month at least, leaving us all scratching our heads trying to figure out what new bug was released that was causing them to be destroyed. Neither you nor Koonschi replied. O I never even new I had a PM lol Thanks for showing me this I have all but quit the test server because of it and gotten mighty peed off at Koonschi for messing with crew :( Sorry Koonschi :) I see now it wasn't your fault. Just some jerk of a player being... well a jerk. It would be nice if we had some way of protecting are assets though. I have had to revert to making stations that have over a billion haul using millions worth of stone on pvp servers and they still get destroyed :(. In RL we would have massive guns on thees things or over powered weapon plats that just obliterate any thing trying to attack.
  8. Reputation! is your answer. Who in their right mind would jump on a ship of a captain they have never seen before and don't know? Sure as heck not me! So npc should not either! The player should start in a smaller ship and have to gain a rep before people will join his crew. The better your rep the easier it is to get crew. And there is your way to make the whole map meaningful.
  9. I know the dev has put tons of time into fighters but he did it all wrong. Fighters should be actual ships that can dock/enter mother ship. Then if the combat rebalance with the energy/mass/dps trinity was implanted thees said fighters could receive energy from the mother ship.
  10. Won't need to worry much about that anymore. Uncovering the exploit our little shadow-ninja's been using to destroying assets in 9:36 seems to have set him into overdrive. He removed a good 80% of the assets in the sector before i logged in and caught him. I've sent you a PM. Stations do not decay below 10%, even without crew. I don't know if this is also true for ships, but I imagine so. O so your saying a player killed all my stuff? Its all gone as you said :( I lost billions in dollars and millions of resources its impossible to replace now because most of the sectors have been salvaged/mined out.
  11. Ok I love you koonschi but you have to stop messing with the crew! I have lost 37 station 5 ships and billions in $$ and millions of resources because my crew just ups and leaves any time I log off!!! The whole Ideal of crew leaving is HORRIBLE!! It makes the game more like a job that you have to log on every 4-5 hour to make sure your crap just don't up and disappear!
  12. Ok so one of the biggest and annoying problems I run into while playing is the guns on my ship shooting at weird angels. (in both control modes) This happens because the crosshairs are tied to player camera they should however alway stay right in front of the ship but this would result in not being able to see you target on some designs. So the best way to fix it is allow players to move the crosshairs then let the cross hairs move with the camera to only a certain extent. (Like freelance did with the whole circle dead zone thing) This would allow players to make broadside ships and a whole host of other things. Also it be nice to have a tade more control over camera positioning as well IE: more forward placement(first person any one) and tilt so you can look down in front of your ship or at it from the side and make it possible to set a pan angle for the default control mode as well.
  13. (9:36) not only that but alot of them don't make the right items any more they make stuff no one will buy or use.

Is there a server administrator for the Official Test Server who might be able to hop on and use the "/addcrew" command on the player stations in sector (9:36)? ^That neutral zone sector is currently like the community hub and many stations had their crews wiped by the bug. Thanks in advance! Yes pleas I have over 30 stations there and most of them have no crew now.

  19. AWSOME! Love how we the players can now actually make are own valid eco center! I was think as a whole tho I think it be cooler if each factory/station type was a block we can add to our own stations. So the bigger that block the more production power. This would allow players to make massive awsome stations like X: Rebirth has. I am also still hoping to see the combat rebalance revolved around the Mobility/energy/DPS Trinity trade off systme. With the reactor setup I suggested eons ago so we can defend outpost.
  20. I thought this bug was fixed a few patches ago but it seems like it returned. When anywhere near a rift and asking a NPC where their home sector is they will often give cords to a sector right smack dab in the middle of a rift. (Happened to me 3x in the last Hour! For 3 different factions!)
  21. I believe the best salutation is a mix of everything. Players make their own or use premade Turret model, attach it to their ship and the scale/size determines the damage + energy usages. (the larger the turret the more damaging but also more energy consumption and slower tracking.) Then turn Turret loots into 'WEAPON SYSTEMS' that are added to preplaced Turrets or weapon blocks by equipping them to one of their placed weapons. Just like you equip armor or sword in most fantasy games. Thees weapon systme would control the weapon 'type' and have cool modifiers like, burst fire, Overheat, energy use, corrosive, explosives, as well as have some basic stat modifiers so weapons would be mostly useless without them. This idea would achieve what both 'You' and the builder type players really want. While leaving the balance and full control still in your hands.
  22. I agree with most every thing said here but the suggestion are vague. I have posted it many times but I think the real answer is a energy trinity consisting of mobility defense and offense. Along with new crew recruitment systme that relies on fame/infamy. And I really love to see as you said "all resources having their place." The progression should mainly rely on ship size and crew recruitment to achieve bigger ship size not tirs of resources.   23. Nothing as right now. Its a set rate. there is quite a few mods tho that let you change and even add more productions.
  24. LOL same and its funny that I like most never even brought it UP because it is so obvious i just assumed it will come soon. I still think it will but it is a good thing that some one brought it up.
