  1. same here, game works for about 30 minutes and then screen goes black then back on and game closes down, stops working. Very constant. Luckily it saves on the spot lol

I wanted to give anyone who may not be playing the beta patch 10.4 Just giving a HUGE heads up to not go into great detail building ships because of the major overhaul the game makes to flying and thrusters / engines. It will feel like an OH MY GAWD moment but rest easy! You will need to build new ships with the new mechanic in mind, directional thrusters are very powerful breaking power so use them facing forward and sideways to make your ship stop while you are turning or else it will only stop while going in 1 direction and if you turn it will glide lol. It will take time to get use to but it does in fact fly very nicely when you get nice break thrust of 100+ not hard btw anymore, and decent roll/pitch/yaw 0.6-0.8+ and using burners for sharp turning. Your current stats of even max 2.0 will literally go down ALOT to around 0.3 because of the change with thrusters not being thin sliced. Also note engine thrust is greatly improved, my ship went from 48.5 to over 100m/s and it blasts off like a rocket lol. So anyone who is not playing the beta just giving a heads up to be prepared for this big change. Don't spend 100 hours building a ship unless you don't mind it becoming unplayable by the time the patch hits everyone. Be prepared to build new ships :)

  5. I have been able to control my ship very well now. I realized you need to use directional thrusters both ways so your ship will stop while your turning lol. It working very well. I don't mind building new ships anyways lol. For feedback, could we get aliens to be tougher and drop better weapons compared to pirates and also be able to surpass turret built stuff? I would love a good challenge with knowing there could be an awesome reward for it :) I get sad when I get exotic or even legendary and a built exceptional is still 5 times better at same tech level. Thats my feedback for item wise. Keep up the great work! Also THANK YOU for apply plan no longer gives a huge stat reduction! I can rest easy now! lol
  6. I updated to the latest beta and it crippled every design! Lol I basically am having to start over now because the game plays very different in flight and I'm actually having to relearn how to build a good functional ship again. I strongly advise anyone not in beta to not spend a lot of time building a ship until the updates come. It's a total game changer!

So I seem to have figured out this new system, get high break thrust which is now easy thanks to directional thrusters.. try to get decent yaw/roll/pitch 0.60+ which seems to be much harder to get high on these stats. But then you are able to control your ship much easier using brake and booster to turn sharply. Takes time but it works pretty good :)
  8. oh my god... its so unreal hard to fly right now. I am use to being able to turn my ship into a direction and then move in that direction and now it takes forever to change directions. I don't know how to even build a maneuverable ship right now.. my thrusters stats have gone down by like 70%! And they were already lots of area and volume that worked well last patch. I need to pretty much start over building and figure this out lol Flying tho... not easy at all anymore :(.. but I need to adjust and figure out how to make it easy again because right now I will be colliding with everything at this rate lol
  9. I really don't think building turrets should ever be the top items in the game. They max at exceptional.. not to mention it doesn't make much sense we have this alien presence who I suppose is vastly out powered by us which makes them boring lol. Aliens should be able to drop awesome stuff. It is no fun when battling and looting is there just for money pretty much, oh a legendary weapon drop, should be an exciting time.. until you realize its not only 10 tech levels above your crafted stuff.. but 5 times worse than it to. I think exotic and legendary should be able to surpass any crafted turrets of same tech level. PVP / Trading is not gonna work to well currently like this. I won't build weapons because it ruins the experience, but gonna be lame when I play on a server and I am outgunned no matter what because I rather find my stuff from battles, not from easy turret factory.
  10. lol that looks awesome! Very unique! Your going to want to make a few adjustments however. 1) The crew is going to be very tight, you will have barely enough crew space for gunners / miners however this may still be okay if you hire only mechanic and engineers as they become lv3 they give 2.5 power so you need much less crew space then. At the start it may be tight. 2) Missing battery upgrade, battery upgrades are a real life saver and at the base 20GJ on a ship of this size it would drain instantly you hit max power usage. Later weapons / miners etc start to become VERY power hungry when they are strong. 3) 0 Cargo hold is going to make it a pain maintaining credits since you can not do any trade runs which btw can net you 50 million + easily lol Another note is you won't be able to do story mission that requires cargo space thus you can't reach the centre. This is an awesome design for sure! Just make sure when you build to make sure you have sufficient crew, enough extra power / battery power to make use of energy, don't skip on cargo.. paying crew wages is much easier when you can make large trade runs and stock up on lots of money. Other than that the stats look very good :)
  11. no lol they are that colour in the panel so you know what material type they are. :)
  12. I am confused, they are always white when you have no colour selected, you have to go to colours and select one then click on the glow blocks to change them.
  13. So after my last ship I took notice to this. Made this nice new ship, saved it then I hit apply plan and bam ship takes a massive reduction to Yaw / Pitch / Roll and looks like some generated power also? I Hit undo and it reverted it back to the original stats. So problem is building it in creative mode, save it and then eventually applying plan in actual game will result inferior stats to what it should be? Here is screenshots step by step, yes with 800 width this time lol Ship with original stats after I built it Saved ship before I hit apply plan Hit apply plan and this happens to the stats. Full view with the stats loss, ships is exactly the same nothing removed.
  14. My next ship is Xanion + Trinium combo. Powerfully built ship. Not to take lightly in the battle field :) Going to make it on my actual game. Can't wait. Hope you guys like it. Still thinking of a good name for this Alien craft, also stats are 130% engineers, 0 upgrade slots used
  15. I have collision off totally because it's just to broken at the moment lol. I jump through a gate and you have no idea how many times I spawned either on an asteroid or another ship. I remember the first time I had 100% collision and I did a jump and was instead dead because of this. Never again! Off it went lol
  16. Currently pvp would be a disaster with how broken turret factories are. Takes no effort really compared to fighting and finding good weapons. Seriously I started a game with a turret factory already making 150dps chain turret. Yet I don't start getting that until tech 25+ from found stuff. I sure hope in the future found items can be better than turret factory stuff. We got aliens yet drop vastly inferior items to what we can make lol. I was hoping they were more advanced
  17. Ya I agree! This is why I am going into creative mode to build instead and then hire up as much crew in my normal game, then I apply plan so I am not having to repair a bunch of times wasting resources. I didn't realize before that the ship was losing parts as I built because it was taking damage already. Really lame lol

Been getting tons of items from battles and its pretty neat the crazy difference in power some of these finds have been This chaingun turret is really neat, Just a plain base and over 200dps.. perhaps it is possible to find some real beasts. Just need to get high base with crazy bonuses lol Also very VERY rarely I am finding weapons with multipliers on them, 2x, 3x and 4x. Got a 11.2x2dmg chaingun with decent rate of fire awhile ago. I am still using it lol
  19. I have the exact same problem! It got even worse my upgrades became really Dark and then even went behind my ship so I had to mouse over just to know what it was. Restarting the game fixed this. But like the black boxes are still not showing up and are behind my ship design.
  20. I have to disagree, turret factories are pretty common to build a much superior item than a found one. I am personally avoiding turret factories to not ruin the actual hunting aspect. I hope this issue is dealt with because it destroys pvp and trading
  21. I am refusing to build weapon turrets from factories because of how broken it is. I am trying to play a game where I only used found stuff except mining turrets. My issue is when they have a dedicated server up.. it's going to be totally stupid as your going to be forced to give up hunting enemies and instead hunt turret factories so you can get really strong weapons 10x the power of any possible found one just so you keep up with pvp. And how will that affect trading? Make it useless imo. I have hope this will be fixed and make hunting actually rewarding.
  22. I decided to revise my Syncesta into this. Only 234k Naonite, 16.5k Titanium and I think it was 1.6 mil Creds. Been having a blast in it. Getting myself into Xanion territory to make a Xanion + Trinium combo. Taking on 60k HP aliens is fun :) For some reason in build mode it has higher stats on Yaw / Pitch / Roll and I can't understand why in actual game its lower? lol

Yeah these lasers are strong indeed but notice that both consume energy and quite a bit of it too (the salvagers not so much but those lasers will drain your battery in a few seconds unless you have a huge generator). So there is a trade off, you can't keep those on full time... even with a lot of generators, a bunch of these will drain you in no time because the draw cumulative... Each second they draw more until it becomes unbearable.. and then they need time to get back to moderate consumption. I have 10 lasers that do 3500 each on my ship and they melt faces big time... but on boss fights, I need to keep my cool because I can only hold them for 15 secs or so.. and then I have to wait about as long for them to cooldown. Lol my current laser that uses 6600k energy lasts over a min at constant fire. With these I could probably get 40 seconds and at almost 9x the damage output. But that's kinda silly the best laser I ever found was 300dm/s at 6600k energy and bam turret factory 2.4kdmg/s. There's no reason to weapon hunt from battles sadly at this state.
  24. Armor hp difference compared to hull is pretty big. I personally do armor and just use more thrusters which yes makes a costly ship but hey... it stops RAILGUNZZ! Lol
