I am glad to know this.. I am a little nervous now to even get this 750k naonite to make my ship.. to see it nerfed to no end lol.. hopefully the update comes out, I want to build more ships but this thruster change seems pretty big and maybe I will just make 50k-100k mineral ships for now lol

Wow... lol I don't like nerfs.. So I hope they buff aliens to drop much better stuff, heck make a new species that is much tougher and they can drop superior stuff.. something to not let turret factories be the go to 100% of the time. There is no late/end game hunting when best drops are 1/10 the power of a built turret factory lol

Very easily lol.. however do note it is VERY expensive to make this kind of stuff. ALOT of 0.05 thrusters in 3 directions to get brake, roll, up/down.
This ship is over 750k naonite, 16k titanium and 4.6m credits. I am currently at 400k naonite it's a grind but that makes getting a super ship even more rewarding.
And yes 9 upgrade slots still empty so imagine the possibilities :)
I am still improving on ship design, my next one should be much better
Edit: Seems comment before mine mentions you no longer need to make 0.05 size! So that may make it MUCH cheaper

Yeah exactly, I mean I do like the building aspect but as it stands drops need a buff or something. Not one find has even been half as good as those mine turrets I just made lol and that's pretty sad.. atleast xsotan should drop better which would be cool since they are an alien species and I would expect superior stuff from them lol.

This is something I also want to know how to adjust properties on items. I want to make found items have bigger rng opportunities to be beyond built stuff. :)

I built 4 and I am laughing how fast it mines! It being auto also is amazing, no more holding the clicker down.
I don't mind building awesome mine turrets, but I think being able to find better stuff even if insanely rare should always be possible.
I assume exotic / legendary COULD yield better stuff? If they plan on adding trading between players I guess really good special gear will only be found rather than built.
I love building for sure, just hope it doesn't take away from any real hunting aspect. For now.. mining up 750k naonite for my godly ship I made :)

I was curious, I found a turret factory that will make a totally insane naonite mine turret only tech 18, 7.8dmg/s, 1.2 range, 43%eff, self targeting so I don't even need to hold the button. I've been gathering the materials to make 4 and with a cost of like 700k approx total. It's pretty cool to find and make this however I have a concern.
Is it possible to find stuff from ship battles that can outdo turret factory stuff? I would hate that found stuff can not come close to built turret stuff. I know they max at exceptional so that's good. I will get a screenshot of this when I'm back home lol.. it's quite a super miner. But it kinda makes hunting down wreck and ship battles pointless if you could never outdo turret factories

Now putting the laser back on and as you see its adding to both unarmed and armed and should just be adding 1 to armed slot?

Well something is not right because when I remove a mine turret to put in a new one it will say I am at max capacity and yet only have 3 mine turrets, I have to take the laser turret off to put the 4th mine turret back on then put the laser turret back on and then my unarmed goes from 4/4 to 5/5 and my armed goes from 4/5 to 5/5 and now my weapon slots on my ship show 5 mine slots but can only occupy 4 of them since 4 is my actual max currently. So yes something is bugged here.

So this happened when equipping my laser turret
I also have 5 spaces for unarmed but can only use 4 and 1 is blank, When I un-equip mine turret I am not allowed to put a 4th back on and have to remove the laser turret to fix it. Laser turret is adding both armed and non armed for some reason.

My next ship, I spent about 2 hours making this lol. I am really loving the ship building tool! It is amazing what you can do.
This was just under 9k Titanium :)

Started a new game and roughly 3.5-4k titanium small extreme agile fighter to start off. Nicely painted and finished off.

I am hoping there is a way but I can't figure it out. When I am building much larger than I have before I can't get at parts of the ship as the camera stays like in the middle and I can only rotate and zoom in and out. Can I also zoom Y/X axis like sideways and such so I can get at hard to see spots? My last issue was trying to put block at the back of the ship. Any help would be great!

perhaps lol.. I was just making a post regarding my enjoyment for the game so far. Got some exotics now, entered into systems with mass signals and found like 15+ pirates and I took them all on lol. If this is misplaced sorry, mods can move it :)

I literally was just thinking this exact same thing! It would be a HUGE QOL improvement to see the stats while selected so I don't have to rip them all off trying to get a better one on without removing already good turrets. I really hope this will be implemented!

I decided to revise my Syncesta into this. Only 234k Naonite, 16.5k Titanium and I think it was 1.6 mil Creds. Been having a blast in it. Getting myself into Xanion territory to make a Xanion + Trinium combo. Taking on 60k HP aliens is fun :)
For some reason in build mode it has higher stats on Yaw / Pitch and I can't understand why in actual game its lower? lol
My next ship is Xanion + Trinium combo. Powerfully built ship. Not to take lightly in the battle field :)
Going to make it on my actual game. Can't wait. Hope you guys like it.
Still thinking of a good name for this Alien craft, also stats are 130% engineers, 0 upgrade slots used
Ship cost is 715132 Trinium, 408703 Xanion, probably around 14 million credits

Game Beta version 10.5 Design! 10.2 designs are useless now
Put in hours of effort with latest beta to achieve a big ship with nice stats and hide everything for once. I pulled it off and I love it. Xsotans.. meet my alien ship! lol
Edit: Wow this ship flies like a dream in the latest beta! So much control and mobility!
Put up graphics to get better shots lol.. comp to old to play on nice settings.
After seeing so much people making amazing ships I felt mine were terrible lol...
I spent 2 days learning how to really make shapes, how to hide everything, how to make something seriously awesome and yet have awesome stats! I wanted a mega ship that was so alien and kick butt. I finally did it..
My most amazing creation of all time... I am taking a break after this design because it took so much effort!
Please let me know what you think! It's so shiny and sleek! I love it! With a spike back end to give it oomph! lol

Seriously.. I don't come CLOSE to these kind of stats with found stuff! What the Eff!!
That is kind of silly. My current laser that is 6600k energy is 331dm/s and I wreck AI with it playing hard mode currently up to 20k hp AI. But THAT! I be like hey buddy.. I don't like you.. pew dead lol
