  2. I don't think it's possible at this moment but I'd love to see a way to buy/support the game during the kickstarter beta period.
  3. Yeah, if we don't get at least 2-3 more submissions maybe it's a good idea if we extend the period for another month?
  4. You're gonna see a lot of player ships when Koonschi decides push the big red release button.
  5. Also maybe add some sort of smaller static objects? Like weapons platforms, mines, communication satellites, beacons/buoys and storage containers. Maybe instead of building big and expensive stations in a sector in order to capture it, we could instead put down a comm satellite and a couple of weapons platforms combined with the occasional AI patrol and have those be a way of marking the territory of your faction. And as always have the player be able to change how those comsats/beacons/platforms look and work. More on the topic of player territory, when a sector is under attack (especially when it's another player) it should appear something like this on the map. Additionally it would be nice to give more info on how many ships there are on the attacking side or give the player the option to have more AI ships sent to that sector.

  7. Is this something that's going to be implemented into the game? I've seen weapons and exo-suits as commodities in the game and it made me wonder if they will be of actual use in the future. Also would be a nice (though more expensive) alternative to just destroying stations.
  8. I'd like to see an option that let's the player convert all of the ships blocks to a specific material. It would be a nice timesaver if we didn't have to rebuild the entire ship from scratch just because we want to have it upgraded. Ofcourse the blocks that can't be converted will stay the same material as before. Also additional things I'd like to see in this feature: option to select what kind of blocks we want to convert, for example just hulls and engines. And if it does fail to convert some blocks to a specific material it should notify the player which kind of block it failed to convert.

  13. This was an idea I had, not sure if this is something you guys were already talking about or implementing but I'll suggest it anyway. Once the players get their hands on their own shipyards, it would be nice if we could use them to manufacture/sell ship designs to other players, the same designs that we made in the ship building editor, or even make it automated - so let's say the shipyard is required to ensure that there's always 4 of chosen design floating around the system guarding it from other factions. The shipyard would use the required resources and take them from the player/storage once that need arrives.

    I've set my ships to patrol the sector and I noticed that they don't actually do anything once they pass a hostile ship. They would just continue with their patrol ignoring the enemies shooting at them. Tested this in multiplayer.
  16. Interesting, I'm guessing that your scanner range will have a impact on how much we will see in the top down view? If that is correct will the ships that are outside the bounds appear like small unidentified anomalies/energy signatures or will they be completely invisible? Also another small question unrelated to UI but more to general graphic effects - will we see engine trails implemented?

  18. I think this game would benefit a lot from some of the UI features from Freelancer. Things like the scanner which is basically a list of ships, bases and other objects of interest in the sector. It really increases the players' awareness and overall it's very practical and something I think will benefit the game very much. On another note, I'd like to be able too see more info about a faction, for example which factions it's hostile/allied to or what it does piracy,trade,mining etc. Also another tiny little thing i'd like to see is moveable and resizeable UI elements. Hope you agree with me here and I'm looking forward on seeing how this game evolves!
