  1. No demo patches, but it should hit steam fairly soon.
  2. Server is running in the background. Windows 10 pops up a dialogue stating that windows reset service has stopped working which is causing no noticable issues in avorion or Windows, but is still mildly alarming. I can either close program or debug issue, but it only occurs when running the server.
  3. I'm all for discovering more about the game, but i am horrid at writing wiki pages. I'm gonna leave this one to Dino, but I'd be happy to point out good resource threads and once we have a good semblance of a wiki, any missing gaps that the forum has filled.
  4. It would be nice to give orders to a ship you are currently in and let the captain drive. This allows for movement via the RTS mode which would be really useful. Then if you hit spacebar you could take back control if needed. It's a bit of a stretch, but it would be neat to have the captain derive while you shoot.
  5. Note: I'm finding nothing in the logs on this one. I'm constantly getting a "Windows reset service has crashed" error while running the dedicated server. I'm not sure on the time span, but after 10-30 mins, it throws that again. No impact on the game or server, but definitely a result of running the server. Running Windows 10 ( fully up to date)
  6. Anyone figured out how to use rts mode? I zoom out and am able to click on my ship and get a path vector to show, but my ship won't move. I hold right click and say "move here", but still nothing. Also, a quick key to zoom way back in would be nice, I'm getting cramps from scrolling so hard.

  8. Further info, logs say i paid fare before exploding. Is it possible, because there was a captain on board, that two instances of the ship loaded simultaneously and collided, blowing each other up? The captain being available means he could have piloted one of the instances over the gate in case he was on the wrong side. Client side, I'm fairly sure my trajectory was ok for gating.

  11. You're right, i could, but i felt like that thread was more troubleshooting than anything and probably belongs in that topic. I'm happy to move it over, though. Personal pc, but it seems to be doing its job. If someone loads up a dedicated brick that might make a more efficient server, but for now i just wanted to get people on and playing together.
  12. That's likely what happened, but i had no antenna. There may have been desync with the server though.
  13. Already reported, but just throwing this bug here because it was particularly strange. I died trying to go through a warp gate. I didn't collide with it, but I died nonetheless. Returned, picked up my turrets/upgrades, and noticed no wreckage. Figured that it might have gone to the other side, so i used the gate. That was where things got weird. I'm too tired to write up everything, but the video should show you the weird parts.   15. While playing and connecting to my dedicated server, I managed to have the client just shut down. No error message or warning, just closed. Server log below.   16. Same. I think i got up to 7. Only ogonite I've gathered so far is from a scrapyard, assumedly it's mined near the center. Avorion too.
  17. I've found at least four types that all do that as well. This leads me to another issue, building a ship large enough for 8 upgrades. You should throw a spoiler tag in the initial post that holds upgrade locations by number. Spoiler: I - unknown II - unknown III - Boss Swoks Etc.

  19. I'd suggest marking this thread with [spoilers] at the front of the title rather than hiding everything within the tag. We should mark down what numbers are found in what locations or drops.

  22. Hey, might as well throw stuff in this thread if it's where people will be showing up. Hi, my steam gamertag is 'Mark Dee', and I'm really enjoying this game. I'm excited to see it hit public steam at some point, and to have the community explode.
  23. Interesting mobile glitch is not allowing me to write and embed images at the same time. That's my ship, it's got roughly 207k xanion in it and nothing else. I stored thrusters inside and surrounded them by framework. Essentially, it's one big cable modem of death. Still haven't gotten past the barrier, but i made a good life for myself in the outer ring. I'll try to get my friend's ships up, his are actually nice looking.
