  1. I find it rather disrespectful of you to assume that we don't care about or don't look at bug reports. I think that, looking at previous patch notes, you will find that the exact opposite is the case. If you don't like unfinished software, don't play on the beta branch and maybe even stay away from Early Access games. Posting on every single board and necro'ing every single thread that might be related to your issue (even though often they weren't) doesn't speed up the development process either, by the way. We managed to reproduce the error here and we fixed an issue related to this; so the next patch should hopefully fix this crash.
  2. Please post the client logs for client crashes, otherwise I can't help you. If this issue had appeared while we were developing and testing we would have fixed it before the patch release.

  5. Because it's a lot more complex than "just throw more cores at it". Utilizing all cores of a machine to 100% can actually be a very hard problem, that only gets harder the more complex the program gets. Especially in games. Avorion's server performance and core utilization will get better the shorter the update time for a single sector becomes, that's what we're working on right now.
  6. Players don't get reputation, but the alliance does. The thing that's missing is the notifications - we're still working on that since I'm not sure if it's a good idea to display all notifications of the alliance to all online players of this alliance.
  7. Do you have a symlink somewhere in your %appdata%\Avorion\... folders? Like for example the galaxies folder leading to another hard drive or something?

  9. I'm afraid you didn't start the server with the "-t all" options. You can use the dedicated server window to do that.
  10. It might be a pathing problem. Can you send me the logs, including your username? If you're not comfortable posting this online, please PM me. But your username *might* be the cause for this. Have you tried starting up the server in a C:\Avorion folder or something similar?
  11. Yes, these are indeed the most interesting logfile lines. We're getting closer. Does the server crash, as in it closes or there's a windows message, or does it just hang indefinitely?

  16. I've added a few more logging functions that will be available with the next update. Please start the server again once the update is out, which should be very soon. Is the server reliably not starting? As in, if you start it 10 times, does it start up 0 of 10 times or does it start up some times?
  17. Thanks for the input. I've added more logging and in the next update there should be a lot more output when enabling tracing, allowing us to narrow the problem down further.

  19. There's almost no difference between starting the server as dedicated server or as singleplayer. You can pass the arguments via the dedicated server window, or you start the server from the command line and give the arguments there. But it looks like the server is incapable of initializing some databases, and for that we'd need tracing so we can see where it breaks.

  23. I've tried the save you posted and I can't reproduce the error. Working completely fine here. Can you start the server with the command line options "-t all" (without quotes) and then post the server log?
