  1. Oh, well, this is bad. I loved integrity field because it kept my ship systems from being shot off by a random projectile while not having the ugly shield effect
  2. Did you forget there's an actual loading screen when you make a jump? Also sector loading time depends on how many asteroids, npcs etc are in it, not how far it is from you.
  3. Isn't the integrity field supposed to keep my ship fully intact until its hp reaches zero?
  4. I have a ship made of Titanium, with some integrity field generators here and there, but in battle some blocks (and especially turrets) are constantly getting shot off and I have to pick them up. Is it just my generators not covering the entirety of the ship (its kinda glitchy in the building mode, hard to check), or there's something else I'm missing?
  5. Oh whoops! Feel free to delete this thread ;D
  6. This is a problem I've encountered in pretty much every RPG-ish game I've played. There's simply no intimidation factor. You're playing game X, wearing level 999 post-endgame items Y, wielding a weapon Z of 9999999 damage but there's still that one group of level 6 bandits-pirates-mobs-whatever who charges at you screaming "LOOK WHO SHOWED UP! GET READY TO DIE LITTLE ONE!", disintegrating when you simply look at them wrongly.
  7. Station and ship interiors won't be made (from the official FAQ). As for the items, if you get destroyed you only lose what's installed on your ship (turrets/systems), you don't lose resources or anything from your inventory. Sorting would be great though!
  8. As of right now, saved ships are all thrown into one list, unsorted, autosaves-copies-versions alike. I think everyone would benefit from these two small additions: Sorting by date and dividing into "autosaved ships" and "saved ships".
  9. I think the more logical feature would be to just turn thrusters' inertia dampening off, like in Space Engineers
  10. Seed is only used to randomly generate a ship, then the generated data is stored in a xml file. There's no "seed" in player designed ships. But you can already load any of the saved or auto-saved ships and edit them?
  11. Thank god I'm not the only one who has noticed this. I've spent hours designing ships and I'm constantly running into this issue. I really don't want to measure every god damn block I plan to bolt on just to solve this
  12. Little update: This morning I booted the game and it loaded fine, however after about 1.5 hours of gameplay the same happened. I didn't close the game, but I can't do anything - shoot anybody, leave sector, etc.
  13. I'm just curious if that was a bug, because I bumped into other ships before and it left my HP bar untouched
  14. After I spent some time on my save, suddenly (in the middle of a pirate attack) every ship system has stopped working. Guns didn't damage ships, warp drive didn't calculate, AI ships didn't do anything. When I wanted to close the game, it got stuck on saving, so I alt-f4'd. After loading the save again, I am treated as a new player (another player.dat file was created). How do I get all my resources back? Also this was in the logs while the game was stuck, if this helps:
  15. So I'm going back to the starting sector after the suspicious goods delivery (where you don't get paid), I notice three pirate ships so I think hey, why not. Halfway into the fight I bump into one of the ships a little and bam, I am completely destroyed. Is this even normal? My ship had lots of iron armor and a sizable titanium integrity field generator as well. This is the first time I died to pirates, lost my best turret as well.
