  1. there is a button on the left side in the building menu which should have a tooltip like 'Repair ship'. If you click it your destroyed blocks will be rebuilt. The crew will only repair blocks which have not been destroyed. There is also a repair option at the Repair Dock for a lower price than through the building menu. You can't repair the ships at the shipyard. Welcome to the forums :D
  2. If you are in the install directory of the game you should put them into the places as specified in the lines below each "Files:" in the top post. You can navigate to the install directory from your steam library. Right-click on avorion and click Properties->Local Files -> Browse Local Files.
  3. What would you think about adding relative speed (and impact time if applicable) to the object description window in the bottom right? These numbers are only interesting compared to another selected object, which would make it a perfect place for now. One downside I could think of is that it is not as visible as placing it next to the bottom/top bars.
  4. Go ahead and create a thread in the suggestions forum, maybe some people would like that as well and could add some input. :) But I would guess that this would be a feature that is not very high priority right now.
  5. If my observations are correct, the merchants are first flying to a 'parking spot', where they will be stationary for some time. You could check if that's actually the case.
  6. The ship might be gone for good, but you can try to retrace your steps and visit the sectors you have been to before the ship disappeared. You might find your ship there.
  7. Now that I've read my sentence again it does not really sound how I intended it to sound... Just meant that there is more information in some of the first replies here :D But it's always good to check if someone has asked your question before, because it's very likely someone has :) Try to tame the search function, it's your friend :P Welcome to the forums :)
  8. I have merged your post with a thread that contains more information. You should read some of the earlier posts :)
  9. I have merged the threads about scaling to reduce duplicate threads. Please try to check if there are post about the same topic before posting in the future :)
  10. Workshop support at least for mods will be added in the future. It should be very likely that the same is true for ship creations. That could help to get more people to share their creations. Regarding the current situation: You could always ask them nicely if they are willing to release them :) Edit: Some people stated that they won't release their designs until the workshop support is done. Please check the threads and especially the original post for such information.
  11. The bug that turret settings are not saved are very likely not related to this one. I think it's the case for everyone.
  12. Yes. They work like AI ships. Fly close to the other ship, so that the distance indicator shows 0km and press F. It's the last entry in the list. You can build new ships from your drone or using the shipyard. But you will have to add crew and especially a captain if you've built it by yourself.
  13. Welcome, everybody! Have fun around here and with the game :D
  14. Check out the servers subforum. Also a proper server list will be added in a future patch, which could be relatively soon, that allows you to see more servers.
  15. You can set turrets to autofire as long as they have the 'independent targeting' property. You would find this property in the bottom portion of the turrets description, where you also find 'Overheats' for example.
  16. The inventory tab in the player ('I') let's you sort your turrets by damage in the left dropdown menu. There is currently no better way to get DPS stats other than to roughly calculate them in your head, on paper, etc. But there I guess that there will surely be a better way in the future.
  17. I have merged this thread with a similar one. You have to keep searching. They are in hidden mass sectors. There is more info on how to find them above.
  18. Without spoiling too much, it's a story thing. You might want to check out the stickied post in the general discussion forum on reaching the core, but mind the spoiler warnings.
  19. I have pinned the topic for now, so it will be visible for anyone who has trouble finding more information about this :)
  20. I have merged the threads now. If you want your redirect post to be deleted, just hit the report button :)
  21. It does whatever its type is, as in they work like mobile turrets. Mining fighters will gather resources, chaingun fighters will fight for you using chainguns, etc.
  22. You can buy them from Equipment Docks. That's a station type you will have to search for in sectors. If you have bought some you have to create a squad in the ship menu. Then you can launch them from the icon on the left side of your screen by pressing the attack button (reticle) using shift to get free mouse movement.
  23. Do you use Dropbox, Google Drive, Box, OneDrive or other similar file syncing/hosting services? They should all support public linking to files and you might try one of those.
