  1. Thrusters are now also volume based. You should also use directional thrusters, they really make a difference.

You can just place bigger blocks and cover them for example with armor or other blocks. Just try it: Place a big thruster block and put a layer of other blocks around it. You will see that your stats will decrease slightly from the additional weight of the other blocks, but your stats  won't be reset to 0.

Also, as astroowl said, you should try to place them away from the center of mass. The center of mass is indicated by the cross of the red, green and blue light (small coordinate axis). Although this is a optimization and not a basic requirement for thrusters to work reasonably.

  2. There have been a lot of changes between the last demo and the current version. So it is not very surprising that the demo works for you.

The only thing I could suggest as a fix are the usual ones:

    1. Try updating your graphics card drivers

    2. Try to verify the game files using steam (unlikely to fix it imo)

If these won't work you will probably have to wait for a new patch from the devs :/

  3. First of all there is a small but relevant difference between Steam and stReam ;)

So there should be no issue with Steam at all.

Could you tell us if you are using any mods, as that might be very relevant. Also, did you try validating your files using the properties menu for avorion in steam? If you don't have any mods installed that should reload the files if they got corrupted or deleted by accident.

It might also be helpful if you could add the complete logs :)

  4. You can get turret drops from basically any wreckage. There is a certain chance that there is a drop when a block is destroyed. This should to my knowledge not be affected by the firepower of the ship.

I can't say much about ships spawning without weapons, but in this case you might want to add your client and server logs from one of those sessions. You can find instructions on how to do that in the link on bugs from my description :)

  5. A full hard drive sounds like a very likely cause for your troubles. The save files for Avorion can grow quite big, so make sure to have at least a few gigabytes of free space left.

Your save files are located in the appdata folder, which is a hidden subfolder of your user directory. This is just in case you didn't knew that already and wanted to know :)

  6. I won't roast you, I promise :)

That being said, I will have to disappoint you that the forum will stay as it is right now.

I would say that your best course of action is probably to create a bookmark folder for the forums in your browser and just save the posts in there. You can get links to specific replies for a topic if you click on the title above the post you want to save.

  7. It is certainly possible that you won't find the report of the other player here, as he might have used the ingame bug reporter. Then there won't be a report here.

But I don't want to discourage you from searching for it anyways :)

  8. If you are playing singleplayer then you can 'cheat' the artifact if you want to using the following code:

    /run Player(callingPlayer):getInventory():add(SystemUpgradeTemplate("data/scripts/systems/teleporterkey4.lua", Rarity(RarityType.Legendary), Seed()

You might have to replace the number after teleporterkey with the appropriate one for the merchant artifact.
