  1. 1. You will have to use a mod for now. There is a /sethome mod in the mods section.

    If you have more than one ship in the same sector you will spawn in that ship, though.

     

    2. Use the mail system. There is an envelope icon in the bar in the top right corner. Enter the name of the player in the mail and drag the turrets/ upgrades you want to send from your inventory into the empty boxes. You can add resources/credits in the corresponding fields.

  2. A thing I have found, which makes reverse thrust an absolute non-issue for me, is that you not only have to reverse thrust but also accelerate to one side.

     

    This means that I turn the ship around and press A/D + W + Space. This is results in a very fast stop. You have to use A or D depending on which side of the ship you have more facing to the current travelling direction. If your left side is facing the direction a bit more than the right side you have to press D. It's the same the other way around, but then you have to press A.

    I might have mixed up the effects of A and D, so you might have to experiment/train this a bit. In general this has worked very well for me.

    BUT, this was before this beta patch and I have not been able to play this one, yet.

    You can use pastebin.com to post logs, or upload them to a service like google drive or dropbox.

     

    I'll be getting some hardware soon so we can run and test it on these CPU/GPUs. Support for them should get a lot better then.

  4. As far as I can see, your post was not touched by anyone with moderation power. If that would have been the case the person would have had to remove the entry from the moderation log. That is highly unlikely and in this case very illogical.

     

    It just appears that you have posted this in the wrong forum by mistake. But if you want it moved to the mods forum I can do that for you. Just hit report and say you want it moved :)

  5. Please post the debug logs. They are very important in the search for a possible cause. Instructions are in the stickied post in this forum.

     

    Also try to update the drivers for the gpu.

     

    Are you sure your PC is forcing your graphics card on the game?

    By default the game uses IntelHD graphics instead of a GPU.

    It does not seem like is trying to run it on a notebook. The issue with the Intel graphics should really only occur on notebooks with a dedicated gpu.

  6. These are features that are planned to be implemented some day. Only because a feature is listed here, does not mean it will always find its way into the game. For some features it may take a long time until they will be implemented. Some features may not get implemented at all if the gameplay should develop in a direction where they would no longer fit in.

     

    I have copied the information from the wiki with added emphasis.

    There is no guarantee anything on that list will be implemented. The wiki is editable by anyone and as long as there are no sources, i.e. links to forum/twitter posts from koonschi or other developers, everything on that list could be made up!

     

    This is something very important to remember. Always check the sources or search for them!

    Thats the reason a lot of professors/teachers do not allow quoting from Wikipedia.

  7. Turrets really need to be scalable, even on a basic ship the turrets look tiny.

     

    Turrets scale with materials. Xanion turrets are already a lot bigger than iron iron turrets.

     

    Crew system should be reduced to just crew, dropping the multiply types, or at least dropping the non-officer tiers. For a new player trying to get the right crew for a even a basic mining ship when you have to travel to several stations and results in ship damage before you even get anything done with a new ship.

     

    The system is totally fine as it is right now, in my opinion.

    Are you aware that you can add regular crew to all job types except for the higher ranking officers? You never have to use special crews for standard jobs if you don't want to. They just give you bonus workforce per crew member and give you reward for their long-term employment through leveling up.

     

    I would personally prefer an option that my ship didn't auto stop, but instead had a key for breaking.

     

    This is planned, or at least something very similar, as far as I know.

     

    I found my ship would auto rotate when leaving the menu and collide with stations.

     

    This comes up a lot and I think that it got acknowledged by the devs, but I am not certain.

  8. TURRET VIEW

    Another option would be to leave Free Look as it, and add a Turret View camera which is a toggle that allows you to spin 360 around your ship and does NOT effect ship orientation when toggled on/off. It's basically my first two points combined into a separate camera view.

     

    Try the alternative steering mode (F2). You might like it :)

  9. As far as I know, Steam is the only official place to buy the game from right now.

    It is very likely that every other site which claims to sell it only resells the keys. There is always a possibility that those keys were bought with stolen credit card details, etc. It is absolutely possible that redeemed keys from those sites get revoked.

     

    Please buy the game on Steam for now.
