  1. @Mad_Irishman IIRC, I built the Nemesis to be just enough to reach 6 slots, I've tried bumping the nemesis up to 7 slots, but I can't find a way that wouldn't jeopardize it's maneuverability, power systems or aesthetics, as it needs at least about an 8 x 8 x 9 computer core, and that's still exluding the supporting systems (generators, thrusters for the extra weight, etc.) to go with it. On the other hand, I just realized that the computer cores under the ship, highlighted in magenta in the picture, are redundant and can be replaced with other systems for a decent boost (~0.4TJ of battery, ~4 GW of power, ~11k additional shields).
  2. so sad suggestion forum is where ideas come to die :( https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php/topic,1867.0.htmlic,1867.0.html I guess it all comes down to which forum section more people visit. Things would probably get noticed instantly if they were posted in General Discussion and such.
  3. You could try looking around this forum section for some ship plans (.xml file downloads), otherwise, how much resources do you have at hand?
  4. Thanks a bunch, Delvar. :D Not all heroes wear capes.
  5. "Hot copy-past action." This is absolutely hilarious. xD
  6. They're part of the material's texture. IIRC, Avorion and Naonite also have a noticeable texture of their own. Not sure about Ogonite, never liked heavy materials so I didn't work with it.
  7. Oh wow, I also didn't know that there was a term for those, I always used to just call them "those, uh, sci-fi texture... bit... thingies" whilst making hand gestures, when talking to people. :P Though, I do mean ribbing when I say ribbing: http://i.imgur.com/JCdZ4rRr.jpg http://i.imgur.com/ypVDKfA.jpg
  8. It's a pretty nice clean design, sometimes less is more. A good first attempt. I can't do clean, everything for me needs some ribbing here and pointy bits there with a few edges and the kitchen sink. :P
  9. Nice design. I never build dedicated spots for mounting turrets, mostly because I slap them on anywhere that might seem to make sense. Power generation and crew space look kinda tight, though. Also, one tip would be to cover your thrusters with a thin plate of armor where applicable, it saves a few clicks in the event some tiny piece of debris gets through your shields and knocks a thruster off. :P
  10. Well, shit. If the ship's that big, I think you could ram the AI ships and they'll just splatter like flies on a windshield. Nice work.
  11. Thanks. :D These ships would do a lot better being shared than sitting here in my singleplayer shipyard, then possibly disappearing forever when I format my drive without backing up. :P

  13. According to the title, I'm supposed to introduce myself. Well, in that case, err... Hi. I'm no stranger to open world sandbox games, and have a handful of hours invested into Space Engineers among other stuff, though it didn't quite click because of the complexity of it. Then I came across this, which pretty much hits the spot, less on the engineering, more PEWPEW, which is A MOFKN' DREAM nice. Can't wait to see where this goes in the future. Anyway, shortening my lifespan by getting frustrated at Adobe software has made the ship editor easier to digest, so I'll be probably be posting some stuff on the Creations section if I stop being lazy.
