[Hosting Lan after Faction Patch]

I do appreciate the reply. 

 

So  I got off my lazy butt  and  checked some files in both  Server and  remote clients.

When Avorion patched  "Tt did NOT patch the entire  common\Avorion\  Game  It only updated the path.

I was  running  2 different convenience  Mods.  The game left those mods and only updated without overwriting them.

Also.  another thing i did not consider.  I copied over some old ship.xml to the workshop folder on all network pcs.

 

I  un-installed  and deleted all previous folders and appdata references. 

 

Then  restarted  by installing the new version on  all PCs    Currently  I am using about 917 meg  on client side  and 826 meg on

the server which is hosting the LAN.

 

I think I figured out how I shot myself in the foot.

 

Wipe  and install Fresh appeared to have resolved this.

[Hosting Lan after Faction Patch]

After trying to host a LAN  local  pc's on same network  .  Which worked before this patch, and now  all members who connect to Lan are getting  Out of memory errors.    Checking taskmanager reveals  Avorion.exe is using all Memory on the NON hosting pc.  But the PC that is hosting the game does not have this issue runs fine.

 

I would not mind rolling back but Steam keeps say update required  "REQUIRED"  how do i  just run the previous version until the optimization?

[Dev Update: Alliances]

I can play this Game Solo "as is"  for the next 5 years.  It has so much more potential to get a following, but I will wait .  I have been waiting for 7d2d for updates for 3 years.  , Might as well just settle in and enjoy this solo masterpiece.  I don't think the Devs realize just how much more they could contribute and turn around the players.  Sad.

[Dev Update: Alliances]

First up  thanks a heap for updating and keeping all in the loop.  I can't wait for the big push.

 

I am so into this Game.  I don't even play  Elite Plus, Empyrion or Stelaris or anything any more  Just  Avorion.  I love this game because it opens up  'My universe, My rules.  :)  I am seeing a very low posting activity on Steam Forums,  Only people who can't set graphics for thier card.  :-[

 

I would like to offer  "is there anyway I can get a separate license X2 for the game  , that does NOT rely on steam.?  I want to run this game without steam when Steam no longer is an option.  I will Pay  Money  i telll you.  Just tell me how.?  I know I can run it in OFF line mode.  NOOOOOO I want a licensed copy  x 2 for my self.  ;)

I don't know why so many angry people post in forums.  Wade  your ships rock.  Please post more.    I love the Black Beauty and was looking for a heavy miner.  Something to haul cargo and also house Flight Hangar  Miners and Salvage.  I think fighters are just pissing money away.

[Player Owned Factory Questions.]

I have 4 Factories in a sector with friendly NPC faction.  I am producing  Gold/Plat mine,  Solar Power Plant, Conductor Factory and Semi-conductor factory.  This is all in Solo game local pc mode with steam account. The NPC merchants come up , Dock  and i get billed  ie $25,000 creds but the NPC merchant drops nothing off and picks up nothing.  I am trying to figure out what transaction is taking place.  Is there a log in game or in root folder that tells you of the trade transactions?  That would wonderful.?  Any help or links to  understanding NPC merchants would be a blessing.  :)

[BREAKING NEWS: Fighters can dock with stations!]

Just one thing.  I have looked and looked and not found how to assign fighters to  stations/mines.  I have a Hangar with open slots and pilots, but I can't figure out how to get my fighters in to a stationary station or mine?
