  1. Yo, I don't know about windows, but on linux if I run full-screen I loose complete control of the function buttons to change brightness or sound volume on my laptop. I mean...it's definitely not a bug that's why I'm posting it here, but it would be nice to regain control. Also, I can't alt-tab out of the game..so yeah...this is kind of a problem.

The worst was when I wanted to connect to the server and got he ip wrong so the game just freezes while it's trying to connect...and I loose complete control of everything. I had to

    ctrl+alt+f1

    and

    sudo service lightdm restart

my way out of it...which sucks.

Also, regarding screens and stuff..the game is made to initially start up in Windowed Seamless..which is fine by me, but my cursor appears higher than it actually is. So in order to press a button in-game in the menu I would have to move the cursor slightly above the button in order to click on it. This thing disappears in fullscreen which is odd...

Just saying, maybe you could improve these functionalities? :D

    Chat

I was playing on the multiplayer server with DoomAngelBlade and after a while the chat system completely stopped working. As in we were talking and then suddenly the Enter button wouldn't do anything and I couldn't see anything that he was writing.

The in-game mail system was still working though.

  2. I think the one that comes to mind is the system of FTL (Faster Than Light). Where you have the shield which when destroyed leaves your ship bare naked any kind of attacks. Those attacks can destroy parts of your ship which take a part of your general structural HitPoints. When your HitPoints are too low or too many parts of the ship are destroyed you die.

Or a more general view like in Freelancer. Where you have the 3 bars. Shield, Hull and Structure (or something like that).

  3. Main shield down - armor gets damaged, vital ship systems still protected by shielding.

    It doesn't work like that...

You normally have a main shield generator. When that goes down, you receive armor damage on whatever part you are being shot at. And that brings down the whole hull/structure levels of the ship down. (usually in geek-culture, that's how it works)

  4. So logically, building a turret won't cost you anything since you already own the turret, and this is normal behaviour, and then removing the turret won't give you back any resources since you didn't use any?

Wait...doesn't that mean you can just increase your resources by placing and removing turrets from your ship (considering no cost to place, and refund for remove) ??

  5. Number 2 is the most commonly used in games, therefore I think it's a good idea to do it that way and not really fuss about it.

On the other hand number 1 seems really cool and I've never seen anyone implement this so...if you can pull that off, then it would be nice to see how it works.

  6. That system reminds me of borderlands 2 or fallout new vegas.

It's a cool concept but I personally am not a fan of such a huge customization option. Don't know how many people feel the same as me but I prefer in a game to have a dev who made a few intelligent choices on how the weapons work in the game so I won't get bored instead of throwing me a billion small pieces and let met make my own guns.

I'm not saying it's not an option!

Also I don't think any other space sim (that I've played) had that sort of in-depth customization of weapons...so this could go one of two ways: innovation or complete uselessness. :P
