  1. Although I didn't directly compare the 2 files for changes, I'm pretty sure laserzwei's fix works better. So if your going to mess with it try that.

     

    The best thing to do is go into creative and give yourself the mats to experiment. Then you will see. I will try to upload a screen of what can happen if it goes badly.

  2. I like your ideas

     

    The main reason I want this feature is

     

    because I really want to scout areas

     

    then bring the ships to the sector im in

     

    (on their own time, based on their hyperspace jump range/cooldown etc)

     

    when I find a good area to mine or whatever.

     

    That way I wouldnt have to constantly play babysitter to make sure everyone jumps.

     

    The AI ships would just eventually get to the area I sent them too.

     

    Obviously if they got attacked or what have you I would have to jump back to rescue them.

     

  3. This mod essentially works

     

    Things to watch out for...

     

    it will make 0dps turrets if they seem to good and the sector tech level is low.

     

    Experiment.

     

    It does work but its trial and error.

     

    I would love a more concise fix but for now its pretty cool.

  4. I think this could be done now that I realized that sectors load completely before you jump to them and all AI ships start doing whatever they were told to do when this happens whether you were in the sector or not.

  5. At one point I made a request to the modding community to see if it was possible to tell an AI ship to "meet" you at a location.

     

    Or just Come to where you are.

     

    I have discovered a number of ways where this could be possible.

     

    The gate system 

     

    The wormhole system

     

    It was made clear to me that the sectors that i am not in are not loaded and therefore the ships etc technically dont exist and could not receive commands etc.

     

    I recently found that if I target the sector that My captained ships are in as if I am going to jump to it, it loads the sector. (I always knew this but not to the extent that I realized)

     

    This functionality should allow for the simple issuance of commands through the

     

    Player Inventory: Send ship Miner mk IV to new coordinates /// Summon Ship Figher Mk XXII to your current Sector.

     

    Galaxy map: Summon All Captained ships in this sector to your current Sector /// Send All Captained ships in this Area to selected sector.

     

  6. I have been noticing a strange behavior occasionally.

     

    I will suddenly start to get resources and money and modules when I am not doing anything except idling in my ship.

     

    WELLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

     

    I figured it out!

     

    I have loaded the sector that my AI ships are in by targeting it and setting it to jump to.

     

    So apparently the sector loads in preparation of my jump >>>> to >>>> it. 

     

    So if my ships are set to salvage and mine.... they just start doing it once the jump is calculated.

    These are very doable with the current setup afaik

     

     

  8. I love the roci...

     

    The idea that such a simple "looking" design has so many subtle complex angles and yet such grace and functionality, is the main inspiration for most of my ship design. 

     

    I have come up with some really cool looking noses in attempts to make it look like the rocinante but yeah... im starting to feel that given the current tools we have its basically impossible.

     

    I really look forward to seeing what youve cooked up!~

  9. The program will not run. It just errors... everything else I get. I understand it. All the steps. No problem.

     

    The program just throws an exception every time and generates no log. Can anyone here with more than 2 posts confirm that this tool works?

     

    Pretty much 100% confirm that this tool is bullshit but I would love it if anyone else could please check
