  1. Ok forgive me if Im totally out of touch with this bc I am not a programmer....

     

     

    Koonschi just implemented a new "salvage" order for ship menu.

     

    Can it be possible to "assign" each fighter the command?

     

    So (again forgive me for not using the terms correctly)

     

    Make a table that sets each fighter as its own entity/ship and then the command (defend/attack etc) salvage/mine.

    Then wrap that up nice so when you issue the order it randomly orders the fighters in that squad to act as if they are little ships in your fleet!

     

    BOOM!

     

  2. Just found out that if you use the /wh create command from this mod that you can send your ships by selecting them and creating a wh they auto warp to the coordinates!

     

     

    So the idea of using whats available in game to warp ships to coordinates you have never visited or activated is possible.

  3. Is it possible to combine this with the custom fighters mod? Or just make a seprate version.

    PS what happens when you put community scripts and this mod together?

    these two mods are totally different things trying to accomplish totally different things

     

    The custom fighter mod allows you to ACTUALLY DESIGN your fighters and then SUMMON them through a command

     

    This mod /advfighter add just summons a specific type of fighter that you can adjust the stats to in the command.

     

    so attempting to combine them would be like trying to combine a bicycle tire and an hard boiled egg.

    Truth be told I took the shots in build mode without pressing  f8 purposefully.

     

    The ships I make are typically pretty ugly.  I just wanted the stats there and everything bc I was to lazy to type it all out.

     

    If you notice also one of each of the screens has the costs using the /price command.

  5. Ok so after seeing so many amazingly well made ships i have decided to post some of my horrible creations!

     

    yay!

     

    This main ship has great handling and 11 upgrade slots...

     

    Open images in their own tab to see costs and stats better... not enough coffee at this time to clean up the post... lol I still have 2 more but yeah without further adieu!!

    And now this is a ship I call Percipitous Danglyass!!

    This is one of my fighters... this is probably the prettiest ship ive made. Its pretty tanky and deals a good deal of wallops to foes.

  6. I hope you have browsed around and answers were found!

     

    All great questions.

     

    Many of the coolest designs are offered up as .xml and it is fairly easy to select parts cut/paste them in the ship editor and even skew/scale them to your liking.

     

    As far as ship designs for me I like starting with huge blocks of one type so I don't have to add 1,000,000 tiny pieces. Others prefer the exact opposite.

     

    Find your happy place.

    100% of the time if you send your fleet through a gate using RTS mode. They all try to load into virtually the same space.

     

    Luckily my fleet is little ships.  believe it or not thats 4 ships in the screen shot (not including the big black one)

     

    I could only imagine what would happen if they were bigger.

     

    Needless to say they damage each other fairly significantly. (although I have damage at .25 bc I am paranasteroid)

  8. Hahahahahahah what about gates?

     

    Use the gate mechanic to "fake" the concept of sending ships to different areas...

     

    That is a confirmed fact... It works...

     

    In RTS mode send ships to gate... they jump through.  BOOOM!
