    This is a sad bug.

     

    Today i've fought the wormhole guardian. Got him down to ~38% hull then a big WTF? I'm back at my desktop "Avorion has stopped working" 1 hour tedious shooting at him, out of range of his guns, ended here.

     

    I don't know what went wrong. Logs attached.

     

    I don't make that again another time. At least not that quick. I'll now cheat me some Techlevel 100 weapons in, and will insta kill him, or at least near 40% hull and switch my weapons back to non cheated versions.

    I instantly facepalmed when I saw cubic planets ;D ;D ;D

     

    But hey seriously is it a bug? or intentional might even be an awesome joke from devs xD because Avorion's planets were really awesome!!!

     

    I got same issue. All planets i saw today became cubes. Got a lil frightened when i saw it the first time  ;D

     

    Just downloading current graphic drivers, maybe this will help (Nvidia GTX 1060 6gb).

     

    Edit: Nothing changed with current drivers.

     

    You have to reboot your PC every hour till 2. April , so the driver can reach full functionality.  It's a known bug.

    This is a practicable solution. But the developer got it even better done for total velocity (screenshot attached)  8)

     

    With different velocity indicators (horizontal, vertical, forward, backward, total) it would be better but i understand that Avorion is not a space (flight) sim.

  4. Yeah, indeed wm46' answer makes sense. So, i would say also that it is not a bug.

     

    It's a lack of information about current ships velocity.

     

    In my past playtime i ALWAYS missed a velocity indicator for my ship.

     

    In numerical values not as a bar. And I mean velocity indicators for every direction. Not just forward/backward thrust. I think it should be part of the HUD like it is done in "Evochron Legacy" . There I always see on the HUD how the ship is moving and where i have to put counter thrust in INERT mode. But thats for the suggestion forum. :-)

     

    EDIT: (i know i can get that info for forward velocity by switching into the drone, selecting my ship, and switiching back to my ship), but that is to less and complicated to control your ship in INERT mode , during a fight, with the new flight controls introduced with the latest patch

So, this patch makes it so that your resources and credits are hidden on the UI by default and only display when you enter build mode or interact with something that can buy and sell.  That's fine, but there's not even the option to turn it back on.  I don't want to have to go into build mode just to check my wallet.  Can we get a UI option to re-enable the summary of our stockpile?

     

    I would like to see this too. Not as an option but as a shortcut.

     

    We have far to less shortcuts. Not to mention the undocumented shortcuts we have, e.g Remove HUD (F8) . I wish a "control overhaul" would be a goal for the final release.

     

    And dual Controller/Keyboard Support.

     

    I know that controller support isn't an option for the developer because "we already have to much key commands". But what do we need for a controller ? Thrust, Pitch, Yaw, Roll as Axis. The rest will be mapped by the controller software anyways, by mapping controller switches to Key commands  ;)

  6. How do you guys manage to fly away from the upgrade? It takes two seconds to go from connected to crashed

     

    Use your booster. It is doable.

     

    What else you can do:

     

    1. Switch the game back to previous stable branch

    2. Load an backup that was made with the previous stable branch

    3. Remove turrets and modules

    4. Switch back to current stable branch

  7. Regardless of this bug, has anything changed how the ships slot count is calculated with the latest patch?

     

     

    Probabily this line of the patch notes:

    - Fixed Hyperspace Core processing power to normal

     

    Which means, Hyperspace cores were giving 5x processing power like computer cores, but now they don't.

     

    Good to know. Indeed I had 3 large Hperspace-Cores on my ship. Solved that by replacing the index type in the ship XML from 55 to 54 .

  8. I'm getting this very same error, just the Entity and parent parts being different. In my case there's an exotic upgrade floating next to my ship and as I load in, it gets pulled in and then the game crashes.

     

    Exactly the same here. A rare lengendary system upgrading is floating next to my ship.

     

    I found the reason why there is an item floating next to my ship. Before the latest patch my ship had 6 Slots. Now with the new patch it only has 5 slots. So, as soon as i login with the latest patch I lose the slot and the item that was in the slot. Trying to pickup that item will crash the game to desktop.

     

    Regardless of this bug, has anything changed how the ships slot count is calculated with the latest patch?

  9. I've noticed the same behavior before the last update too, on patch 0.10.2.7420. As my discovered systems start growing (1500+), the game had become more resource intensive than before. It accumulates with every visited sector per game launch.

     

    Stopping game and server brings the good performance back. I'm playing SP but as far as I've understood, it makes no difference to a real MP game since even in SP a local server will be started at client side.

  11. Confirmed from my side. Crashes for me too since latest stable patch. My error is similar to yours. After a few seconds of playtime the game is crashing on my side with the following message:

  12. He should look into hiring a team or outsourcing some of the dev work, the shitpile is growing every day and it's becoming more silent from his side with every dung thrown on top of it.

     

    Just a guess, and only a guess. Why do you think he is not anwering the "shitpile" on this forum ? Maybe he is busy with fixed Your shitpile.

     

    If sonething goes wrong at work I don't answer phone calls till i've fixed the error. Everything else just stops me fixing the error.

     

    P.S.: Why do you not donate him a team ? Don't get me wrong, but the understanding, that this game is a "one man show" is something you all should be aware of. And, It's "Early access" and not "demand what you want".

  13. Unfortunately no. When I use the "Print" Key with open trade manager window I get a screentshot of the main menu.

     

    But as far as I can see all items are affected. But only the tooltips in the "trade route" tab. There is an icon for every item. If you hover your mouse over it, the item name will be displayed as a tooltip.

     

    But in English even I have German configured as language. The other tabs "items to sell" "items to buy" in the trade manager show German language.

  14. Yeah, I can confirm that i have the same issues with the steam achievements.

     

    Everything that contains "counting" seems to be broken. Except "get over 1.000.000 credits".

     

    I have killed 100+ pirates but have got no achievements. On the other side Xsotan: I've killed maybe 20 but steam says for the Xsotan  achievements : 0/5 , 5/100 , 100/500 and 500/1000 . Huh ?? :-)
