  1. Nice !! Avaris looks great. Super maneuverable, well done !! I also like the dramatic poses, lol 8) I liked the body style of your designs before, but the Avaris seems to take it up a notch. And I agree, completing the bridge area this way is much cleaner looking with the contiguous lines. The engine nozzles are cool too. Not sure why you are not posting your xml's, but can you please mail me the xml for Avaris. I want to try her out. In return, I will try my hand at making a variation of your engine nozzle. Thank you
  2. I have used Imgur for photo posting - never been an issue, and posting is a breeze.

  4. OMG. A Freighter-Fighter, good idea !! And the Cargo Hold, 80k?? I am not sure if I have seen larger. I won't offer to help you finish the body, but let me suggest a little more "jump" to it's natural jump range. I can't wait for the finished version. I have been trading in my games as part of my routine, but I have mostly driven hulks that I have slapped together. Great job, Warrax !! :P

  6. Check your Cargo Hold, too. Is there room for your factory to make stuff. Another thing to check is ample supplies of all required materials
  7. Yeah, I tried to put together a Freighter ... It did not turn out so well. I did learn something, thought you might want to add it into your "Lessons Learned" post, lol. #1 25 individual cubes of Cargo, placed 5 x 5 x 5 (1x1 ea) DO NOT equal one cube of Cargo Hold 5 x 5 x 5. #2 Ship Editor: In addition to rotating blocks (holding the 'R' key), I learned that if you hit "X" while editing blocks ships, you can flip (mirror) the block instead. Ok, maybe this is not new for people, but it was for me. And yes, I am crappy at making ships. lol :-[

    Ship Scaling

    I think you are both right (Astro Owl and Kamo). I am not a ship builder, so I rely on others for the designs I like, then modify them to the scale I need. I don't think it's an issue, but the general results I have had, align to what Warrax described. Again, for me it's a non-issue, I think the Game Coding gets it right enough. Besides, I would rather seen the Devs prioritize getting all they need done for the launch (that I patiently / impatiently wait for). Go Go Devs !! ;)

  11. Another tip - Go into your Electrical system of your ship and turn off the Thrusters and Gyros. Helps to prevent your ship from turning out of a set pose/background.
  12. Thanx for the Aurum .XML. Also, check your mail. I sent back my Crab changes, in the .XML - with enhancements to L/R rads. Save you the effort. And btw, thanks :)

  14. :o NICE, Warrax!! Aurum looks great and the stats on it are impressive. How do you get the Rads so high for maneuvering? Are you going to post the xml for it soon? I got the Crab working, finally, from Minimum's original thread. I liked the changes you made, so I did similar.
  15. I think so. I might already be doing what you are asking. I just tell the other capt to "mine". Then, "the whatever stuff", I take care of myself. My ship is better for killing. ;)

  17. The flying buttress looks interesting, hoping to see you use it soon. Are these examples of trimaran? Is this the sort of thing you are going for? Technically, not all multi-hulls are "trimarans". Sorry, I cannot remember who produced these. I found both in the Avorion workshop.

  21. I tried Warrax's builds ... they are a sweet drive. Maybe you could reverse engineer his designs, or just drop yourself the XML and use that?
  22. While playing, while fighting, my guns keep turning off ... For instance, I have all guns set to "1", turn them on, start firing, 2 seconds later, the guns turn off. Ok, turn them on again ... 2 seconds later - they are OFF AGAIN. WTF !! If anyone has a solution, please, that would be wonderful.
  23. Wow, incredible piece of engineering. I finally got up enough materials to drive the Aegis. Compact in some ways, elegant in all respects, and a power house in combat.
  24. My gosh, the Aegis is awesome. And, yeah, the tie fighter, interceptor looks super cool. Has anyone done one already?
