  1. Okay, looking for another dude then. As a side note, for (I assume) being an important part of the 'main quest' smuggler bases are kinda rare
  2. No, as in I want to destroy him. Reloading didn't help, so I'll have to find another one, but they're hard to find :(
  3. I have a problem: I just got my second delivery quest, but the guy keeps giving me coordinates inside the galactic center, which I can't reach. (I've abandoned and re-taken it a couple of times but he keeps doing that) I kinda assumed this questline led to a way to get there - is this a bug, or am I wrong in thinking that?
  4. I've had my relations improved with pirate factions by destroying ships of another pirate faction they were fighting with. Of course, they were still arch enemies after that so I killed them too, which for some reason deteriorated the relation again :V
  5. There's a reason I turned off collision damage ;)
  6. I'd guess those first three are the three RGB colour codes for the UI (since you can set it's colour)
  7. Battlecruiser operational Download link (Xanion): https://app.box.com/s/137xzw2rr765f5w8hby0c9gsd2pblnhl
  8. I've had the same happen occasionally (haven't reported it as a bug yet cause I don't know how to reproduce it), and I could fix it by travelling back where my ship was (your home sector in this case) and I'd be floating there where I left it, allowing me to reclaim it. Even though it didn't show up in the ship list before I took it back.
  9. +1 to all that Additionally, it would be nice if active quests automatically added a mark to the relevant system (preferably in a different colour that the standard, to make them stand out) and a note (the quest name or something) I currently do it by hand, but regularly have to think "ok, which of these 20 purplish dots was that distress signal again"
  10. Yeah, that sounds like a neat idea. For the meantime I found out you can turn off collision damage, which has reduced my number of deaths by at least 99%. ;)
  11. So, erm Is there any way not to get thrown back all the way to your home system when you die? I tried leaving behind some small ships in systems I visit occasionally, but the game ignored those and put me back in a drone in start anyway, so that doesn't seem to do it. Exploring is really fun, but this makes it a bit annoying for people like me who can't fly properly and crash into asteroids :D (note to self: shields don't help against collision damage)
  12. If the main problem is systems getting mined out, you could make resources respawn. As for keeping getting resources while I'm doing stuff otherwise... well, that's kinda why I made the investment of a ship with crew and captain in the first place :) so I don't see what the problem would be with that. Being able to organise this sort of things to run independent of me was one of the things that attracted me to this game in the first place.
  13. The sector had a jumpgate, though. Anyhow, I understand. Don't particularly care about fairness when I play SP though, so I'll just up that value and hope my pc doesn't catch fire :D
  14. Ooooooohhhhh. I noticed the mode, but thought it was for having a system map. Oops. Thanks! ;D Is there a list of the controls for that somewhere? Wasn't mentioned in the tutorial (which I assume is still WIP) and it doesn't seem to be on the wiki.
  15. My apologies if this is in and I missed it, but it would be nice if management for multiple extra ships was a little less micro-managy. As far as I can determine, if I want all ships I have around to do something, the only way to do this is select all of them individually and order each of them. Which is a bit fiddly if I want to order 5 ships to attack enemies when jumping into a pirate battle. So, maybe you could add: a) a way to select multiple owned ships at once (like dragging a box around them as in RTS games) b) a way to send an order to all owned ships in the system c) allow us to order ships from the ship list in the player menu (combined with checkboxes you could order multiple ships then) or a combination of the above?
  16. So, this is probably not literally a bug, but: I made a small ship, gave it a captain, outfitted it with two mining lasers and let it roam free mine in a system with a large asteroid field, thinking this would be a nice way of gaining some materials without having to mine it all myself. However, then I decided to explore a bit while it did that, but I noticed that once I got one or two systems far my income of iron stopped. Concerned, I headed back to the system ("did it get attacked by pirates or fly into an asteroid?" I thought) and as soon as I got there it started again. I assume this is because (logically) systems stop getting simulated once you're not there, but it's kinda odd and de-immersing when it's mining it's doing. Maybe some kind of approximation could be made for remote miners? X of whatever metal is in the system per second/minute, with X based on the asteroids in the system, mining gear and ship speed? That way you can give the illusion that your ships are still doing their work remotely without actually having to do anything but calculate one number and then add something to your materials regularly.
  17. Hi. I'm not a bot. Or if I am, I'm a very advanced AI that has been programmed to think it's a human. You never know. Anyhow, received a beta key from a friend who had multiple, having fun so far with the game. Came here from the Limit Theory forums :)
