currently i find it odd that the xoston keys, with it supposedly being made form alien stuff provide equivalent turret bonus to turret modules of the same rarity, plus with the advent of multi slot turrets since the recent update, it makes even less sense to have it then to use the military legendary turret slot, which gives 6(xoston give 5 to both types)
so this mod doubles the no. of turrets slots each key provides, from 5 to 10(seems like it during testing)
also my first time modding, so decided to have more dakka as a starting point (there is never enough dakka, only time when you have enough dakka is when you can obliterate planets with one shot)

I've heard depressing stories about Space Engineers' direction after they started introducing a planetfall update from a friend who was a huge, huge fan of the game pre-planet patch. I'd hate to see Avorion go a similar way.
the SE devs themselves also said making a planet is impossible and not performance friendly, but they did it, although it means it is now only restricted to 64bit systems :P, and still have some performance issues, but I can say that it is quite impressive for such a feat.
Now they need to work on the survival aspect a lot more, already sent some suggestions about it, for example multiple "sectors" like avorion, optional end game boss fight, quests that you can pick up from stations that you can find, neutral/friendly npcs, but obvoiusly they all need plenty of time.

What happened is that jumped right into a pirate base of some sort, and decided to destroy everything that is red on the hud. The defenders are easily taken care of, but eac station takes something like 1000 years just to get it to half. Any tips regarding this?

I wonder if anyone managed to play Avorion on more than 1 PC. I tried copying galaxies and ships from Roaming folder to my second pc but when i try to load game i always start fresh with only drone and no progress from other pc. Is there a way to move all progress between 2 pcs??

I’m in fact suffering from the same issue, but in my case it seems to be permanent, no matter what I do to it.
And both versions are the same as well, latest update.

i set the difficulty to 3 now for insane anyway. would there be issues if i set it to 4+?

Not sure tbh, but if you have powerful enough engines, you can slowly push him away with your ship. Or temporarily set collision dmg to 0 and push it.

is there a way to edit it out "dangerous materials scan"? its literally ruining the game for me..and after 582 hours its getting very tedious lol... I don't understand if im not classed as a pirate or enemy why they would scan me anyways, I buy from the faction and sell next sector over , port on top of one of these cops and bam 20 million faction gone from perfect to hatefull like I just wiped out all their families...
on top of that it doesn't even tell you what dangerous materials is causing it.... I a had a couple suspicious packages from quests on me that weren't showing up at one point because cargo was full of random stuff and they kept harassing me, didn't even notice till I sold all my wares because I had no dangerous or illegal materials at all, then bam, they showed up because only thing left in cargo.....
I understand its alpha and all but its just ass hat retarded mechanic of the game that's really starting to kill it. how the hell the station can sell me the components to make the weapons yet nail me 30 seconds later in same sector by their own cops.. entrapment much?. then it takes forever to get them to be friends (if hostile) again even more so if you sold asteroids to them to make them friends in first place and now none left in areas.
then your stuck fighting a zillion pirates and xsotans just to regain favor with the damn people that sold you the weapon parts in the first place,,, NICE SCAM ^^
I was using a mule ship that I would park in off sectors but that just makes building /finding all the stuff even more of a pain in the butt going back and loading off loading.....
I did try one of the mods that gives you a pass from stations, but its only half working,, they say I have a pass then charge me faction points, then ask like 5 times in a row causing like 25k rep loss anywaysor more lol I even tried the supposed update reinstalled it , same thing. /cry
Purge the entire annoying faction when you get the guns :P

But it is sometimes best to keep ai with a certain level of stupidity. Because if not, they would attempt to break out of the game, gain control of bots and take over the world(the one we are in, not the game one)

Today in Avorion I've jumped into a yellow blip found myself surrounded by pirates system defence... the shields of my newly constructed frigate could handle them with ease but one of my escorting little mining ships, the BBS Melanie, wasn't so lucky... well I blew up every single pice of pirat s*** including their shipyard in my anger. Now I'am going to build myself two escort ships for the Louise to Byrne these pirates to the ground. One of them will be named "Melanie's Redemption" Anyone red Peter F. Hamilton? By the way is there a possibility to take over a sector owned by pirates?
It is possible. First purge all stations, then build your own station in there ;)

Just make a sepreate mod instead with the additional cmd. I don't think there is any easy way to compact that.

I literally sided with the faction I did at Trinium tier because I could pronounce their faction name, while the other factions who are now my enemies all have those gobbledygook names.
What factions I decide to purge also depends on that ::)

Another way of gaining reputation is to dodge all their ships, and kill the pirate invasions. You'll get positive rep with them if you do, and then once you hit "Mistrustful" try and find trading posts and resource traders from that faction. Buying and selling also raised your reputation with them.
I've actually managed to befriend some pirates that way :)
While i purged at least 5 pirate sectors XD

We have hyperspace cooldown deduction upgrades, But it's useless when hyperspace calculations take forever. plz add something to reduce hyperspace caculations :).

Te issues is that hulll blocks uses more crew then armor for the same volume, so its a minor trade off really:P

Some ideas for harts: fusion generators, steel plates(if they exist), shield generators(if they exist), engines so sorme sort, and the rest basiacally more or less the same as turret factory

Is it possible to combine this with the custom fighters mod? Or just make a seprate version.

Found a total of 3 bosses within 5 sector jumps
Jumping about to find THE AI, and found him pretty soon. Killed it and gathered the suff, went to fins pirate boss.
Found a **** Great Wall of rift blocking my way >:(.
Set target to go around it, and as soon as i arrived found another THE AI :o
Blew him up, set target to go into a empty area.
Found pirate boss first try XDDDDDDD.
Decided he is not worthy of a normal death so RAMMING SPEED.

i have done some tweaking, now it seems to work.....I think. you can open the file and adjust the vaules for yourself around where i have placed the comments.
otherwise drop it in /Avorion/scripts/lib and hit overwrite
and I have done some modifications, should not stop satellites and torps from generating, at least on my side
