Had the same issue today. Restarting the game completely fixed the FPS drops when the map was open.
agreed, same problem over here on last steam build. (havn't checked after update, but will soon report back)
after jumping 20+ sectors fps drop increases, after 50+ it was unuseable.
probably because im the host, my mates had no problems

Steamarchievement told me to do a barrelroll in a Battleship.
What is a battleship? And what is a battlecruiser, destroyer, corvett and other classes?
Is there any overview of these? Or an other way to get my class?

With mods. This is the point, somebody said "i have quadrillion omicron, im badass" and im struggling around with ~60k :D

High Techlevels on weapons, where do I find them?
On my galaxy we have Techlevel 47 to craft as a weapon, we found some Techlevel 50 weapons... But we cant see a maximum level and dont know whats the end of this scala.
What do the material of weapons do?

was flying around, looted some stuff, and was called for carrying stolen goods. Because i was speeding towards a gate, i instant pressed all the dialogs and they charged the fee.
Suggestion: Add a breakpoint after every dialog, instead of let them rush through.

Some weapons use overheat mechanics.
To "improve" this it would be nice to such a module.
Example Bonuses:
more heat per Weapon
lesser cooldown
balance heat between all weapons

i've found here the commands for Credits and Resources
For example, type/give koonschi 150000 iron
or
/give koonschi 150000 money
Can you add a command for tradegoods, upgrades/weapons or crew? Or add something for "creative mode" like this to play around with different weapons and things :)

On last build (we have switched galaxy after patch, because of mods) i had the same issue.
iirc they reach the targets, but do no damage
