Are there any plans to make this game single shard? With the expanding capabilities in cloud based virtual computing, it isn't out of the realm of doable to break up the galaxy into servers. or... We as a community all chip in on a super computer with thousands of slot, and all choose to play on the same server. Hell with EVE being the most popular, single shard, internet space ships game they top out at 50-60k players during peak hours and peak season.

Im new to the game, and am loving it. Im eager to start fighting in faction battles to push enemies out of system. Is there any instructions on how the faction warfare mechanics are designed? Example: Enter system, do thing A, then do thing B, then system is now occupied by friendly faction. or Example: Enter system, do thing A, system influence has been reduced. Result less hostile reinforcements arrive.
