  1. The notes feature on the galaxy map is good for keeping track of factories that have things you want.

As for storing, you could build a 'warehouse' in an empty sector. A ship mainly cargo hold. Doesn't even need engines. Gather your goods, jump in and transfer them to it. Rinse and repeat. You may need to defend it while you are in the sector but just kill everything before you leave.

  2.

I tried to only make minimal changes to the actual game code and to keep everything as is. To get this mod running you have to add two chunks of code into eventscheduler.lua and one into SectorGenerator.lua.

Forgive me if I just missed it but, the two chunks of code referenced above would be?

  3. I like the salary mechanic, and with it goes morale. Without one the other would be of no use. And to me, it's not near as 'grindy' as, with the present economy, trying to gather material to feed Turret Factories. I make plenty of credits to pay the crew just by doing things I would be doing anyway.

And it could be worse. At least you don't have to feed them.

  4. Check some of the trading posts. There are several supply items that are required for downstream products but don't seem to have a factory or mine that makes them (raw oil, gems, diamonds, coal). I did find raw oil at a trading post (I was looking for stuff for a certain quest) so maybe coal can be found as well. Down the line maybe these things will have factories added or modded in.

  5. "Quickly" is different than "Higher Chance". The drop rate for upgrade and turret drops is set by the server and I THINK it is per block destroyed.(?) How you destroy it doesn't increase or decrease the chance it will drop something. Destroying blocks faster just means you roll the dice faster, not more often. As for salvage vs weapons, salvage gets you resources along with the chance for a turret or upgrade.

  6. Found something of a graph on Reddit that shows who buys what. The second one is the easiest to decipher. Kinda spaghetti like but some good info. Rubber, for instance is bought by Vehicle Factories. There is no buyer listed for Mining Robots though. Trading post, maybe?

Edit: Just noticed Luxury Food doesn't list a buyer either but I know that Casinos buy that so this list is not complete.

  7. Yea, this is a bit confusing until you figure it out. If at some point even the tiniest block of your ship is destroyed, you cannot build anything  on it until it is 'repaired' which restores the missing block. It would be cool if you could make your own bandaid repairs by building over the missing part.
