  1. i had voted for the second one and only then thought that third option would be cool too. If you could bouild many generators which covering the entire ship and then increase or decrease energy of some shield generators to make parts of the ship more or less protected. And if you don't want to think "tactical" you can just devide the energy evenly between all the shields. So, actually i'm for the third option too

  2. That would be cool if there was some sort of "hungar blocks" which allow to have little fighter ships which fighting for the owner of this. It will be useful for big or huge ships(like stations). The system could be like in protoss cruiser from starcraft. They can be generated like useal ships in shipyards, but their size depends of owner's ship size and its class. Also it needs a crew and resurces for making/repairing ships. And maybe player could take a control of one of these ships which he has on his board.
