Lol i created a server without even having launched the game, ever.

Make the weapon systems player built and customizable like in the game From the Depths
It would make weapon blueprints more valuable to obtain and makes the game more multiplayer immersive
Everything is built by the player from scratch
Caliber size, barrel lenght, payload size, what type of payload, rate of fire, distance
Also turret size. Currently players have differently sized ships and turrets dont resize accordingly.
That would give more options for a cool looking ship
You can decide what ammo type to use then build your own shell from scratch from primer to payload
Then you can build your own missiles customize them and your own torpedoes
Have an option for turret factories or ships(assembly blocks) to be able to craft turret blueprints but not vice-versa, otherwise people will spam one good turret.

The videos are great but here is my honest opinion:
If u wanna make guides for people then make guides. Not these 45min long gameplay videos which most people wont click on that are looking for guides.

I would like to know what you have done to increase difficulty, because while you as the player can make the game as easy and difficult as you want, I would like to see some difficulty that pushes me a little harder and I am curious what options there are without designating hours/days of my time into research.

Simply opening specific router ports is not enough. You need to have open ports allowed from your network provider.
Alternatly you could establish connection with hamachi and then attempt playing together.

I have been off of Avorion for a long time. Will pick this one up. Lost a big part of my progress as I formatted my pc without keeping backups. Will start from the stuff that is available here sadly. Hope to have something running soon. Anyone using it having queries or suggestions, do post them.

Nice to have a option to repair mothership with repair fighters...
Just order repair fighters to attack ur mothership.

Random relation droppings are caused by leaving ur fighters behind.

Title says it all
Currently its impossible to manage your ships from other sectors so in order to manage them you have to manually travel to them, which is annoying and time wasting.
Ship control HUD or antenna/beacon/satellite system should do the job of managing ur ships better.

Because w00zla is too busy to fix it, I just tried. With a very small change everything works fine, but I stuck at giving commands to the ships. I could use some modders help to get it working.
The mod invokes vanilla functions from file craftorders.lua (f.e. onEscortMeButtonPressed) for executing commands, this works fine at least. Then the checkCaptain function in craftorders.lua prevents executing the command beacause this is returning a nil value:
checkEntityInteractionPermissions(Entity(), AlliancePrivilege.ManageShips)
I just do not understand why... maybe anybody can help out or fix it? My current progress is attached to the answer.
Ok finally I got it. Getting still a few other errors wich could need some fixing.
Hope you'll get it fixed for new upcoming patch ;)

Ive seen in some games like League of Legends, etc. you requirie ping below 70 to be successful in competitive games and to have smooth experience.
Whats the ping ladder here like for PvP and PvE combat?

Well put idea, that would indeed work for all players.
Just thought that with all the dev work they have to do for full release maybe quiclly add an option for servers :P
If those who dont want pvp (to be found) then they will play non pvp servers (which makes majority of the servers that have most players)

There is, just build up an alliance to see all its members on your galaxy map!
Yeah quite familiar with that feature, what i meant was so you could see all players, enemies and such.
How on earth are you supposed to find anyone if you wanted to fight them or somethin, the map is huge.
For reference, this same "issue" was solved in minecraft in the form of dynmap.

Add an option for servers to enable all players visible on map.
That would make player-player interaction more common and will feel less like singleplayer.
