  1. I get this error when trying to join any server, including avorion test server: "Connection refused. Your version 0.10.2 does not match the server version 0.10.3." I have set steam to keep the game updated automatically. And if I google it, there's only some russian sites mentioning 0.10.3.

    Version 10.3 is currently the beta version, to install this update you have to go your Steam Library > Avorion > Preferences and there you will find the option to select the beta-branch in a dropdown menu on the last tab.

    After selecting this the game will update itself if it isn't running ;)

  2. Today we hit a record on our server, we had 24 players online and the server was handling pretty well according to the players. I wasn't there myself to see how everything was doing but if the performance stays up I will increase the slots.

    Did some quick maintenance, more incoming tomorrow :)

     

    - Replaced Ohm/DPS Display for Detailed Turret Tooltips

    - Updated OOSP to newest version (Fingers crossed)

    - Added Crude Oil and Coal to be gathered with mines

    - Enabled nearly all stations to be founded by you

    - Added /disttocore command that shows the distance between you and the core

  3. Sorry understood your post incorrectly and indeed the mod MiningCorp can do such a thing.

     

    I did read earlier today that there are some issues with his mod not giving resources but I'm sure he will fix that soon.

  4. Thanks for looking into this, was about to report it as a bug/suggestion after I found out you can only transfer one per click.

     

    Being able to input increments yourself would be very useful but I guess that would take some extensive modding and could better be implemented through the game itself.

     

    Didn't read well enough but I guess stations also transfer all available if you don't meet the quantity if set to 1000 for example.

  5. There is a mod that bypasses the docking ports and allows you to dock from 0.3km away of the center of the station.

    I found it very useful, especially with big ships since it can be quite time consuming to actually port to a dock.

    If you own the station yourself, you can try placing the docking ports further away from the center of mass or other objects nearby and they will show up but I figure that doesn't apply to this situation.

  6. Buying a ship at the shipyard with the highest volume and dimension settings still gave me a small factory,

    not sure what is involved for them to be categorised as a medium or large factory.

    Upping the storage/volume after that didn't work either.

     

    I read somewhere that if you build your station in a system that has warp gates, NPC ships will be able to dock to your station, if you have a docking port that is.

  7. By default resource laden asteroids will respawn via this script 2 to 8 minutes after they are destroyed. This script will have no effect on sectors without resources in them.

     

    I'm not sure how this is related to this thread, but this functionality is something that I really want. Is this a mod?

    To answer the OP:

    I haven't tested it fully but since it's a deminishing factor, setting this to a lower amount will probably extend the time.

     

  8. The whole process of making the turrets yourself is a bit tedious, since you have to know where to buy the required components.

    What I did to make it myself easier was to list all the needed components for the turrets I wanted so you can quickly see if a sector is selling the components you need with a trading module.

     

    If you also want to get into trading and building stations, now would be the time to make a spreadsheet where you keep track of all good trades in a sector and also if they have a decent stock of goods you might need later on.
