As the title says while in build mode the game sometimes does not pause. This has happened twice to me. I have been unable to reproduce this issue with any amount of success and believe it to be completely random.

I noticed you mentioned turret scaleing alot, I'm not sure when you finished recording/editing, but the beta branch does allow you to scale your custom turrets, the largest I've made one is on my high speed heavy cruiser, which was a size 8.5. Now, this doesn't effect you damage output, seeing as if it did you would either see a hard cap on how far you can scale or you would just see people with massive cube ships with size 100 turrets one shotting everything in the immediate area..

Don't worry, As in the title of this thread, It's only PvP Inside the core. And besides people don't really fight that much anyway unless it was a organized fight. And anyway the modpack for the server is amazing and pvp servers are way more populated. You can have massive alliances / communities to help eachother out and you could help your alliance a crap ton by mining alone. You should join. For US Servers I'm not too sure how it works out in them but the EU is pretty chill, both servers get a lot of players anyway.
Are the servers running the most recent beta branch?

You can definitely get it better, turn scale step to .5 and turn on no snap, combine that with the block stat UI and you can get it looking ace in no time
-
I've been watching and contemplating on joining, but I dont like PVP and none of my ships are really pvp worthy
-
That should be doable with the edge blocks, it will just be alot of them since a majority will be microblocks

Would you mind uploading the ship xml?
Koon should have a version of it since he was looking into an issue with the torpedo launchers not working on half of the ship, but I can.

not sure if this is what you were looking for or if it causes any problems down the line

Have you attempted scaling up about 2x to give you more wiggle room then scalding back down when it's done?
Yes did not work.
I did figure it out though I had to come at it from the sides can build from the middle out
Now however I am having a problem getting the sides to mesh lol
Ech. If you've ever seen my ships on the WS you would know that I've gone through similar issues, I would offer help building it, seeing as a hands on approach is alot better when it comes to tricky builds like this, but I surmise you want to do it yourself.

Did the new version on the beta branch fix your issue?
It is fixed on the ship in the video, however it is not fixed on my other ship that has this issue, I will record a video of that and send it

This is something I would like to see as well, although I'm sure it has been suggested numerous times I still love it when someone brings this up.

Better Xsotan artifacts is always a good one, it would also be a good idea to add(I think it's a mod at least) the mod that adds protection for players when they are offline.
It would be nice to just have a vanilla server with some anti griefing mods and such.
Also i would be interested in joining

Idk what I'm looking at, but I like it.
-
Well, I can only hope this has gained the attention of Koon or Sum, since his is an issue that has been going on since I got the game about a year ago.
-
Mmmh, doncha just love trying to make sweeping curves in stuff like wings.
They look very cool btw.

Is that in creative? I've only played survival so far and I cant find that button in the build menu. maybe its at a shipyard?
Left most column 4th row down, box in a box with an arrow. But like I said it only allows you to change the material of everything on your ship. That means you need the resources first

Construction - the progression system makes alot of sense. so this may be a personal issue. BUT. im the kind of player that likes to start with 1 ship and take it to the end, I upgrade as I go. adding new parts and replacing old ones as new materials are available. but it gets tedious after a few tiers of materials. would it be possible to have some kind of "replace" button in the construction options. so say I have a ship made out of Naonite but am mining Trinium it would have an option to replace all current Naonite blocks with Trinium at x amount. just a little quality of life thing rather than spending hours and hours replacing parts.
There is the modify ship button where you are able to change the scale and materials the ship is mode from. But there is no specific way to target certain block, as an example say you want to convert your iron ship with iron armor to to trinium you have to convert everything, generators, batteries, quarters, etc.

I actually just did a test with the basic design that you get when you go into the turrets editor. And I am convinced it's the bounding /hitboxes conflicting with other blocks, because there were no physical blocks touching anything else and the turrets still disappeared when they went past size 1.5 and the turret body/barrel bound started clipping into the recessed areas I place the turrets

before i installed the turrets
after turrets were installed
after repair

When I first heard about the 250 limit this was my initial thought as well, although after building with the turrets a bit I'm quite pleased with how well you can incorporate them into a build and they dont look bad. The Yamato main cannons shouldn't be very hard to get right either.
