     LxWxH 4m x 4.5m x 1.5m (1 slot)

This a 2 person flyer, a spacespeeder. It can jump 2.8 sectors. I made it with real dimensions  for 2 humans, and people should sit behind each other like on a motorcycle. Two integrity field generators should protect this flying pixel. Its really fun to have and good for flying around the area. The standard drone doesnt brake at all and this lil' fella does. You better pick one up.

The only downside is that it will cost you a minimum of 7650 credits in wages (yeah thats pretty stupid Avorion!), but it flies the same without a captain (but than you cant call it to come to you)

Also, for this main picture I used the highest zoom  possible..... You can not zoom in any closer to this ship!

    Imperial Class Ship Catalog

MetalLaires Industrial catalog of the Assari Imperial Class spaceships.

These ship come in many different sizes but all of them have the same "native  Imperial Class" look.

The Imperial Class fleet builds are all about the inside. Its about what to do with that interior space.

The interior is different because of the difference in ship size.

And while your at it, these smaller model ships enter can enter the big ones.

There are 50 pages to be filled, some are for future ships or I have not made pictures yet.

  5. Yes I have cube-like ships. I really love my simple designs.

Star wars destroyers are just enlarged mouse-pointers, they are simple too!

With the possibility of cloaking coming to this game (and before torpedos and productions were added) I wanted to be able to upgrade my ships with ease in the future. So I have very simple ways to update my ships as you can see in this post I made. Explaining how to do it. https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php/topic,4089.msg29025.html#new

-Just select the "view blocks only" button

-Select the type of material and blocktype I mention for each ship. (or see in the picture)

-Change the blocks into what you want for your ship!

    -Easy isnt it?

The bigger problem is that my ships are all ogonite based so you cant really use them  in early game, but yes they can be upgraded with ease.

  6. Imperial Class Upgrades

I dont know why, but I always forget to mention that most of the Assari IC ships are upgradable.

So I just make a post here about it...

-Just select the "view blocks only" button

-Select the type of material and blocktype I mention for each ship. (or see in the picture)

-Change the blocks into what you want for your ship!

    -Easy isnt it?

    My-T-Cruiser

The My-T-Cruiser has 4 blocks of 5x4.8x5 that can be changed into what you need.

    Just select Ogonite/Hologram

    MTCUpgrade.jpg

    Royal Cruiser

The Royal Cruiser can be upgraded too, it has 9 blocks of 3.6x3.8x3.6 ready to be changed into what you need.

    Just select Ogonite/Glow

    RC-2.jpg

    BattleCruiser

The BattleCruiser has 4 blocks of 6x4.1x6, 6 blocks of 10x7x10 and 12 blocks of 7x7.6x7 that can be changed into what you need.

    Just select Ogonite/Glow

    BC-2.jpg

    My-T-Commander

This Ship is ready for everything, it has 14 blocks of 7.6x7.8x7.8 that can ben converted to what you want on deck 2. Deck 1 has 2 blocks of 7x9.5x7.

    Just select Ogonite/Hologram

    ICCUpgrade.jpg

    Repair Carrier Supreme

This ol'bulky fella is prepared for the future, has 8 blocks of 10x8x10 size  that can be upgraded.

    Just select Ogonite/Glass

    RCSUpgrade.jpg

    Support Carrier

High-tech, state of the art, it even has 4 pre-installed coaxial-guns. For upgrades it has 15 times 6x10x6 blocks

    Just select Xanion/Glow

    SCDXUpgrade.jpg

    Trypticon CS

Because I didnt know what the future would bring me, this has 2 places to upgrade.

-The first place to upgrade is in the engine room in the back of the ship, it has 2 framework platforms that are 30x2x30 and  can each fit a 30x30x30 block. You dont need to select specific blocks for this, just make your way to the inside of the ship.

    TCSUpgrade1.jpg

-The second  place to upgrade are 4 blocks of 24x18x24 in size.

    Just select Naonite/Glass

    TCSUpgrade2.jpg

  7. I have problems with memory but its the size that counts.

I wanted to solve the problem by making hollow ships. That way I could make them bigger with less mass.

But it seems it  has something to do with the way this game calculates volume. Bigger pieces have bigger volume wich calculates more difficult when different numbers meet.

Like a 2x2x2 ship is simple for an integrity field genrator to calulate the new stronger values. With a 100x60x60 ship with so many different kind of blocks (hull/armour/glass/shield etc) it will take longer to calculate.  Im not good at explaining this, im sorry, but I hope you understand what Im trying to say.

When Im building my new titan ship (Trypticon 4) it takes a while to place just a block of crew-quarters, removing a block takes even longer!

For this ship I had to buy 8gb extra memory because my pc froze when building (until episode 8)

  8. The largest ever created.....

Im currently building the Trypticon IV capital ship/mother ship. I think it is the biggest not scaled ship in Avorion.

It will be able to fit in at least 2 My-T-Commander ships. Still waiting for the ship to ship docking update. It will not be too detailed like the IC Support Carrier DX because of lag. Because of its size the building goes very slow and its laggy when you fly near it with small ships.

Imperial Class ships are all about the inside!

  9. Lessons Learned

    6fPtnpt.jpg

These are some of my lessons learned:

            1.  Avoid using ANY blocks with 0.05 scales, as these are NOT naturally divisible by the Avorion Game Software.

            2.  Build from the inside out.

            3.  Anything is possible.  ... Hmm ... just stop ... think about it.

            4.  Borrowing from other designers is a good thing - but give credit.  It's a community (not a competition).

            5.  Use of a spreadsheet  in ship design and as an aid during in-game construction - then build it

            6.  Jester pointed out that Cargo Hold blocks are optimally placed as one big blob, rather than chucks placed here and there.

            7.  Failure is "failure" if you learning nothing.

with block stats, you can devide avorion blocks and make them the size you want.

I made "realistic" human sized stairs with 0.02 (20cm) steps, or just download my spacely scooter which has many small components

    20180526125522_1.jpg

  10.

    ...

I dont know if its the amout of blocks that will lag you out or the size.....

    Whats your pc stats?

    AMD Phenom II X4 965 ~3.4 Ghz

    Gigabyte 970-DS3P

    16 GB DDR3-1600

    GTX 1050 Ti

    1 TB HDD

Only graphics card and hdd (had a crash) are not older than a year, all other components are going into their 5th year now  ;)

Ok... I think I dont have enough  memory, I5, 8gb only and I have serious difficulty with building some big (+5km)ships and recording.

Ah well, lets see if santa leaves me an extra 8gb under the tree...

  11. I love it!

I would like to fly around this in my Spacely mini-ship, which is only 4.5 m wide and 4m long. Its smaller than the drone and it breaks better.

I dont know if its the amout of blocks that will lag you out or the size.....

    Whats your pc stats?

  12. Ive made a 2 slot, 3011hp, "Corvette", but its size is L80m x W90m x H20m.

hat means that if I build this ship in another game like Empyrion (and I did!), its a massive capital ship. Amongst the biggest ive seen on the internet.

My 7 slot, 758444hp Cruiser has a size of 600m x 600m and can be compared with the TNG enterprise (NCC-1701-D) which is 642m in lenght. There it is a galaxy class starship, but I dont know what that means.

A "Star Wars Imperial Class Star Destroyer" is 1600m long while my "Assari Imperial Class Destroyers" are only 280m long.

But in Star Wars its classified as a capital ship, so it can be compared to my 14 slot "My-T-Commander ship" which is 1350m long.

But I also made a millennium Scout (L28m x W40m) which has the same measurements as the Han Solo millennium falcon (35m lenght).

Currently building a massive 10.5km long Capital Ship and is really really massive! So I think some star wars sizes are a bit unrealistic

In the end I think its more like to which universe you want to compare your own builds, and so create your own ship classification

  13. Thanx to those numbers I can calculate the size and dimensions of my ships inner and outer workings. 1 = 10 meters

Nothing to fix, rather a tool. Those numbers also often change when you rotate your block.

I like to see how it compares in size to ships from famous galaxies like macross or star wars trek or eve online or warhammer or....

  14. Hi guys, Ive recoloured the ships to have matching 'fleet' colours.

9 'Blue Series' ships are all in one rar-file:

    - Spacely Scooter - Scout DX - Millennium Scout DX - Corvette DX Flight - Original Frigate DX - GC Destroyer DX - Destroyer DX Flight - My-T-Cruiser - BattleLaires XX

    20180825162722_1.jpg

  15. Added the Millennium Scout to the series, I call it the Millennium Scout because it has Millennium Falcon-like dimensions. Also included are videos of me building this ship and a showcase video.

    20180701152338_1.jpg

  16. A new mini ship is here, its the Imperial Class Spacely Scooter DX. It is very very very VERY small (4mx4.5mx1.5m or a 0.4x0.45x0.15 block) and this 2-seater is perfect for flying around huge ships and having fun. Now you will really see how big a random ship is in this game, when you fly with this.

Also added a hangar/garage in the pack. Now we only need the ship-to-ship-docking block and its ready to go.

Because of low stats it doesnt need a crew and you can fly it for free! Autopilot or something like that...

Ive put in 5 diffrent colour-combo's in the pack.
