I've actually experienced this error, It's when your host such as nitrado cannot bind the steam network ports needed for communication, usually defaults back to TCP networking, which is why it works but is unable to be found.

Sometimes demand simply isnt there for an item, find a couple sectors nearby that purchase your item and drag them on a cargo hauler there and sell them yourself, I find this to be the best workaround.

I pay around 13 dollars a month for mine, it's been a very good experience so far. I am based in Europe and I play with my friends in the United states with relatively no issues.

I currently host a vanilla server with https://gameserverkings.com, it's unmodded (but they are generally pretty good about installing mods or giving me the ability on my other services) but I know they do offer the beta version of Avorion if you ask for it to be installed by support.

Yeah I tend to steer clear of nitrado, I had an ark server with them and my experience wasn't very good.

 

Do they not allow beta at all?

searching for an easy way to design ships/look how other have done those crazy Workshop design i found an old Forum Post https://www.avorion.net/forum/index.php?topic=421.0 after trying out the attachet editor. It seems to me that is was made for an older Game Version. So i want to ask if there is the possiblity for an updated version.

It does not seem like there is an updated version, however I am with you on the updated version. This tool would be invaluable for sculptors.

With most shared hosts like Nitrado, they use restrictive sets of file permissions in an attempt to curb files types that might be deemed as "unsafe"

 

You likely cannot install it yourself, I'd reach out to their support and ask them if they can do it for you; Alternatively there's many other hosts that do allow you to modify files, and or they will add them as you request them.
