Jumpgate Bugs

A collection of jumpgates "strange behaviours" and straight bugs reproduceable:

 

- Entering a JG with the camera looking in a different direction than towards it, results in a constant velocity applied AFTER arrving to the new sector. Easy to reproduce: Accelerate forward towards a JG, and in the last moment rotate your ship and use the matching strafe to enter the JG "laterally". Try to stop your ship on the next sector to make the bug apparent. In game "fix": Open and close build menu for the affected ship.

 

- Multiple ships following the same one result in only 1 of the followers able to jumpthrough, the rest will "loose track" of the original formation leader. Meanwhile if the same ships are linked in a train so each one follows just 1 other ship, all of them cross the JG successfully.

 

- Ships with a dimension close to the size of the JG permanently "bounce" against it without crossing. Meanwhile smaller ships and much bigger ones cross without problems. Looks like the AI in Fly State, when the ships have dimensions that are aproximately the same as the JG, detetcs a "collision" too soon and makes the ship stop, backpedal and try again... Sometimes, when the ship approaches the gate from the lateral it jumps... But can take forever to happen.

 

- Jumpgate arrival do not check for pressence of mass. It's strange that jumpdrives put all ships spread around their Spheres to avoid collisions, while JG do not care if the space a ship will arrive into is already occupied.
