the log is huge too big to put here and its even recording peoples chats imagine me playing 10 hours.....

 

also seems the multiplayer server is NOT TELLING PLAYERS THEY NEED TO INSTALL MODS

the divine reapers usa east server needs to get message to its admin to tell people to install mods to play there

First of all there is a small but relevant difference between Steam and stReam ;)

So there should be no issue with Steam at all.

 

Could you tell us if you are using any mods, as that might be very relevant. Also, did you try validating your files using the properties menu for avorion in steam? If you don't have any mods installed that should reload the files if they got corrupted or deleted by accident.

 

It might also be helpful if you could add the complete logs :)

so i have yet to get hold of that admin but im gathering that this is simply not sending that part cause he/she did not want it in but did not change the lua code....

 

no biggy but i only seem to have issue with that multiplayer server as its modded ....we were told that with latest update we'd not need the mod , if required then id back up any modded files to play it...

Hi Chronoss,

 

I'm one of the admins.  We have notifications both in-game and on the server selection screen in the description.

 

In-game we have a custom MOTD mod that automatically shows up in chat when a player joins.  That links directly to the modpack.  In the server screen, in the server's description there is a link again to discord so players can get the modpack (literally says:  "For modpack join discord: link")
