Entity
Soooo, solar panels scale with surface. There's also nothing stopping me from making a giant stack of 0.01 thick panels to generate more power than a generator of equal volume would generate, all the while being much lighter. Sure it costs considerably more credits/mineral, and probably lags things (stack of 1000 panels, ewww)... I think they should have a minimum thickness to work. FriedrichPsitalon
So one hand: 1000s of solar panels, vastly more credits, vastly more material. Mildly/moderately less mass. Other hand: 1 generator. Cheaper. Less resources burned. Might not lag. Mildly/moderately more mass. ...looks balanced to me. If anything, I'd say solar panels still don't have enough going for them. WSY
Original post said it took less volume and mass just to clarify. I am curious though, when you say more volume Entity, are you counting the 0.01 space between each panel? Or can you litterally stack the panels against each other without space? I would test myself but work/life balanced is a bit fubar right now.
