"you are already piloting this craft" after using /teleport command

Occasionally after using the teleport command in quick succession, you teleport to a new sector in your drone and leave your old ship in the previous sector.  When you return to the previous sector and attempt to use T to enter your old ship, "you are already piloting this craft" is displayed as an error.  Building a new ship and attempting to enter the ship from the new ship, or exiting into drone again, both result in the same error.  Relogging, restarting the client both fail to resolve the issue. 

 

I am permanently unable to re-enter my ship after using the /teleport command.

Unfortunately it doesn't fix the problem of your ship being left behind in the previous sector but that's a work in progress I guess, last patches should have fixed that but it still seems to happen sometimes.
