Advice on making money and on player-owned stations

Hello,

 

I've found this really good 6200 dps salvaging turret that costs a whopping 1.7 mil to craft. I'd like to build several of them to mine station wreckages. I'm looking for a way to make fast money. Up until now I just completed Wipe Out Pirates missions and sell asteroids/resources but this is getting a bit old. So I'd like to build my own station, but I don't know what station I should found. I'm not looking to build production chains or anything too complex. Just a single station like a trading post or a resource depot or anything that could help me earn millions.

 

How do trading posts work?

 

You just build the trading post and NPC come to trade?

 

What items are there in the trading post? Do I need to supply it with something?

 

Is it profitable?

 

What are other alternatives? Good stations to build or ways to make money.

sure trading post are profitable.

 

very profitable and you need to have more cargo.

 

if you lucky you will get rare material out of that (you can take all result of trading post via trade cargo/crew/fighter ). and sell it to other faction trading post.

 

and don't forget to assign crew on that trading post.

 

dont forget to have flush trader (/flushtraders) to flush AFK trader (this is important).

 

i get 1 billion profit because if trading post alone.
