Make reflector blocks immune to laser turrets

It's a simple change, and makes sense. The way stone is immune to lightning, and armor is resistant to railguns. I think it would add to the game, even if it isn't a significant change.

Yeah, it does make sense and doesn't require much work. It's especially justified because Reflector blocks are otherwise completely worthless and nobody uses them for anything, ever.

if I'd make fighters (mining and salvaging fighters) out of reflector-blocks, would those be immune to the lasers of the other fighters (also mining and salvaging), too?

Theoretically yes. I didn't check if stone fighters are immune to electricity, but I'd make some to destroy Mobile Energy Labs !

It'd be more economical than Histoire-class Variant Heavy Destroyers :).

IIRC the blocks the fighters are made of has zero effect on them. It's just a visual design. Fighters has their own separate stats independent of the blocks.

DivineEvil is right, Fighters have their own special balancing that isn't considering the blocks they're made of. So reflector fighters will still be shot down by anti-fighter laser turrets ;)

Ah. I guess player fighters cannot be taken down by player ships ::)

 

Edit: Cannon fighters are awesome, since they cause severe recoil when they swarm an enemy ship, causing them to outrange it a little longer than other fighters :D.
