Here some suggestions:

• Resources exchange. As I think not bad idea will be to make something like exchange. When you have lots of ores it very necessary to exchange it for money, also to change credits to ores will be good to.
  
• Players can trade. Also will be better for multi-player, if players can sell recourses, ships, cargo, etc.
