Dready
I've been running some server tests and wondered if anyone had figured a way to park your ship when you log out. Presently they still remain in space just floating there, can you dock them so they despawn when you log out? Otherwise on a multiplayer server you are at the mercy of pirates and other players when logged out.
Excelsior
I would say hug a roid and/or not be anywhere near a station. Pirates only attack if they are in a certain distance.
Dready
Yeah good plan. I will put a comment in regarding this and see if a Dev picks it up.
Radagar
We've been logging out in empty sectors away from other players, so far nobody has lost anything. Maybe sectors are disabled when you go offline? So if you're in a place away from other people your sector stays frozen until you return. Just a theory. Tajin
Yes, sectors are unloaded when no players are in them (by default, this happens after 5 minutes). So parking in empty space is relatively safe.
