Badly damaged - suicide option?

Hey guys

recently I experienced a bad situation:

I got badly damaged - shop unflyable. Almost no material at my "wallet".  Ship was made of big blocks so the repair of every block was expensive, especially the generator. All this in enemy territory.

So then I had to jump miltiple times with the drone and mine for hell lot of time to ve aboe to repair ať least the generator.

 

Sad is that I had my reconstruction token but it had no use while the ship wasn't destroyed completely (just serious collision dmg)

 

I'd appreciate an option to rather selfdestruct the ship and make it reconstructed far more than that. Or a possibility to build a tiny generator to make it slowly flyable at least. Well all the thing with forbidden modifications to damaged ships seems very unpractical and against the game logic to me - why not?

Hey and welcome to the forums!

 

You can commit suicide by simply having enemies destroy you or flying against an asteroid.

You do also have the option to remove destroyed block from you ship design in build mode so you can simply go on with building.

Ihope this helps.

 

The idea of a self destruction sounds fun, but should do actual damage in a large area and the ship should be completely gone (so no reconstruction tokens).

I didn't know that deleting blocks while being damaged is possible.

Now it'll be piece of cake :)

 

(i find selfdestruct as nonsense though if it doesn't have a serious purpose)
