AI trading / exploration like in X series?

Anyone know of any plans of the trading AI to be able to trade in all friendly sectors?

 

Or how about an exploration AI that reveals unknown sectors in a spiral or even in a definable pattern - only yellow blips, only green blips, green and yellow blips, random, zig-zag, ...?

 

Ships should fall in and out of combat as required or set as preference: defend only. or attack all enemies and then return back to previous order(s), or flee if down to x percent of hull...

I haven't heard of such commands, unfortunately. You should post your ideas in the Suggestions category, where the developers may look and take notes silently.

 

About combat orders, the game Gratuitous Space Battles is all about specific orders on custom ships. Applying these specific orders sometimes means the difference between failure and extraordinary success. Here they are, in case you're interested!

Co-operative - share targets with fellow ships

Vulture - fire at damaged ships in order to finish them

Cautious - retreat from the front line at X% hull HP

Rescuer - concentrate fire on enemies attacking fellow ships

Protector - concentrate fire on enemies attacking a specific ship

Escort - stay within a certain distance from a specific ship

Formation - stay in a position relative to a specific ship

Retaliate - return fire

Keep Moving - keep moving and stay within range

Last Stand - never retreat

And the Priority (%) and Range to close for Fighters, Frigates, and Cruisers

I'd love to see similar orders in Avorion for all aspects of AI captains.

Exploration:

1. Equip some radar upgrade so that you can see inhabited sectors on the galaxy map

2. Order a captain-piloted ship to jump to all those sectors (you can chain orders on the galaxy map with shift)

 

There you have sectors explored by an AI ship.

Also you can just buy a map at an equipment dock.
