Non Finishing Repair

I was in a fight with my ship, lost 2 engines.

 

The repair crew was fixing the ship and I wanted to add the two parts that were totally shot off.

 

In the build mode it says... can't edit ship until ship is repaired.

 

So I let the crew finish fixing - green bar is full.

 

Still in build I can't replace the missing parts - I visited a shipyard and still couldn't see how to fix the two missing parts.

 

Any ideas here guys?... Thanks :)

there is a button on the left side in the building menu which should have a tooltip like 'Repair ship'. If you click it your destroyed blocks will be rebuilt.

The crew will only repair blocks which have not been destroyed.

 

There is also a repair option at the Repair Dock for a lower price than through the building menu. You can't repair the ships at the shipyard.

Yea, this is a bit confusing until you figure it out. If at some point even the tiniest block of your ship is destroyed, you cannot build anything  on it until it is 'repaired' which restores the missing block. It would be cool if you could make your own bandaid repairs by building over the missing part.
