I suggest a new subsystem that either blocks or slows down (similar to the player in combat scenes) hyperdrive of enemies within a certain range, preventing them from jumping out of the sector. Range and number of ships that can be simultaneously effected would depend on subsystem rarity.
This would prove useful in fighting enemy pirates, catching 'loot ships' and also raiding faction cargo ships.
You could even include funny dialogue to respond to it.
'What? Hyperspace blocked!? You monster!'
