Like being able to create giant spinal mounted cannons or lasers that can increase in firepower by connecting the right blocks to them, so you'd have the base of the gun, firepower would depend on the volume, energy usage depends on the type of weapon and also volume, fire rate, overheating, reload speed and all that have factors aswell, but can be aided with the addition of blocks attached to the main part of the weapon, like engines aswell they'd only face one direction, rather than backwards facing they'd be forward facing. It'd give us the means for extreme firepower but we'd have to aim our entire ships in the direction of the enemy, we could also have the option for a Mining or Salvaging Laser too, for the serious Miners and Scavengers. To keep Turrets useful they'd be able to do their usual business of being able to aim freely and what not unless on a turret rotation lock block.
