  1. I can't figure out how they work. I have about 9 of them with forces of 70kN, but they've done nothing to tiny asteroids and large ships. How do I use them? Do they even function? Shouldn't they be moving my targets?
  2. Life-sized people included, haha: I recently made this beast! User TESL4 inspired me. The Vis Invictus has 9 slots, turret platforms, torpedo launchers, and fighter bays. One version has framework that you may transform to have desired stats. Another version is what I’ve transformed it to be. ‘Vis Invictus’ means ‘undefeated force’ in Latin. Tips for transforming framework pieces: - CLICK "HIDE SPECIFIC BLOCKS..." BUTTON AND ONLY REVEAL FRAMEWORK PIECES - Merge blocks only when necessary. If you mess up, it's sometimes impossible to make smaller blocks after merging because I have lots of "clipping" blocks inside the ship (blocks inside of blocks). - The default thrusters included are adequate. Adding any more facing in the correct direction is difficult and a waste of space, in my opinion. I recommend ignoring thrusters. - There's enough crew space for 100% untrained workers AND pilots. If you use trained crew, you can transform even the giant crew blocks into torpedo storage or whatever. 3. Summary: 1) unlimited resources and money 2) size comparable to Xsotan Wormhole Guardian 3) 15 upgrade slots 4) fast-building carrier 5) can be modified from random ships 6) strong hull and shield? 7) has practical mobility 8 ) symmetrical 9) unique colors - try dark blue and default (grey/white) 10) inspires greatness 11) generally capable of everything Edit: Never mind what I've said. A 15 slot ship is a huge ship! It's just under 150k in processing power, by the way.
  4. Systems’ stats should remain as they are. Golden, blue, and red systems are worth picking up and I can identify them from a distance. Since the other lower rarities are a hassle to collect, what do you all think about them dropping in greater amounts? I currently spend probably 20 hours between research sessions because I have too few items.
  5. Do the rifts actually consume sectors over time? I haven’t noticed that, so I don’t think that’s true. Maybe you worry that the map will become crowded from expansion? Yeah, I don’t believe that happens. But if you don’t like how many rifts already exist, perhaps someone knows how to edit sectors. I think that you might be confused from the NPC’s dialog. When they claim that the rifts have been expanding, that’s probably only a part of the story over hundreds of years and not happening as you play the game.
  6. Soon I will have all 8 Xsotan artifacts, but I’m not sure exactly how they must be equipped. I think the wiki says I need 8 separate ships with one system piece each, but the pinned board in this “General” section seems to suggest that they can all be equipped on one ship. What is true? Also, is it possible to have many of each Xsotan system piece? I bought two XSTN-K IVs from two different merchants, but when I killed Bottan for the second time, he did not drop another artifact. I assume this means that all bosses will not drop more artifacts, but I can buy more IVs.
  7. Perhaps I'm misunderstanding your request, but I'll let you know anyways that there's a slider in the audio settings for music. You can adjust it so that it is muted. I could definitely use an option for muting torpedo warnings. I'm tired of them, haha.
  8. That's exactly what we need: a nicer legend! It should allow us to toggle more things, just as it works with wormholes, gates, and alliance info. Those things should at least include the note icon and a sort of tagging feature that we could use to tag sectors and reveal sectors of a certain tag.
  9. I can't appreciate my map because I took notes on sectors about the prices of goods. I want to see the faction relation colors on my map but this is all I see, lol: Edit: I guess it searched for every sector with "" in the description or something. It looks like this: Can we still disable the little note icon?
  10. Apparently, this is the purpose of coaxial weapons: "Coaxial weapons now found their way into Avorion! Weapons that require 5 or more slots will now be considered coaxial weaponry. Those only look in a single direction and cannot turn. They also deal 3 times the damage of their 5-Slot equivalent non-coaxial turret counterpart." https://steamcommunity.com/games/445220/announcements/detail/1700561993855034589 Google Translate: Anscheinend ist dies der Zweck von Koaxialwaffen: "Koaxialwaffen fanden nun ihren Weg in Avorion! Waffen, die 5 oder mehr Schlitze erfordern, werden jetzt als Koaxialwaffen betrachtet. Die schauen nur in eine Richtung und können sich nicht drehen. Sie verursachen außerdem den dreifachen Schaden ihres 5-Slot-Gegenstücks, das nicht koaxial ist." Thank you, Sir Charles, for summarizing and translating! If Google made a mistake, then please correct it! I like the idea, by the way.
  11. screenshot link: https://imgur.com/a/9oycqvE Required Information: - "Revision" is r14300 - Description: Within some stations, I was able to sell thousands of a good (such as medical supplies) despite the fact that it could only hold 100 items. View the screenshot link above. I typed the largest number I could (37), but was selling fusion generators in increments between about 8 and 15 (it varied). The station's stock would only increase by 1 or 3 every 10 seconds of clicking despite it buying hundreds in that time span. By the way, I got all those supplies by defeating pirate faction stations. It's a win-win situation for my morals (they're just pirates) and my wallet! Now I'm a billionaire. - Step-by-Step Instructions: edit: start steam in offline mode or do not use WiFi because that's what I did. 1. Acquire many items. I had thousands of medical supplies, fusion generators, mining robots, acid, and a few others by stealing from stations. 2. Visit sectors with stations and use a trading system to locate stations that will buy your goods. This has only happened with 2 or 3 stations so far, and all of them had a low cargo capacity. 3. Type maximum number and sell. If the station is bugged, it can purchase more of your goods and its stock will increase slightly or not at all. If it is not bugged, its stock will fill to maximum capacity and it will accept no more. If that is the case, keep searching for more stations. It might take 8 minutes with a 90 second hyperdrive cool-down or whatever to find a station that is bugged and will accept your stuff. - Log: Look between lines at timestamps "2019-03-07 20-40-02" and "2019-03-07 20-47-15" (use ctrl+f on browser and paste my quotes to quickly find them). Notice that I sold 12 fusion generators for a minute and 11 another minute without changing anything. Pastebin link: https://pastebin.com/qx5uAYe1 - System Specs: Windows Version 10.0.17134 (from a month ago or so ago, not the latest) CPU - i5 7300HQ - 2.5-3.5 GHz with 4 cores and threads. GPU - GTX 1050 - I think it is the GTX 1050 "Mobile" version because I have a laptop.
  12. Yeah, the solar panels aren't going on my ship any time soon! lol I don't know how useful solar panels are for stations since I have not built any, but I know that they're useless on my ships. I just did some math based on your pictures and learned that the solar panels are MUCH more expensive for the same GWs ($150000 vs $40000 and 13000Tr vs 3000Tr). BUT I just remembered that their GW output is dependent on SURFACE AREA. You can double your output with the panels simply by dividing one giant cube into 4 slices. I just got 20.4 GW by dividing a .6GW 10*10*10 solar cube into 100 slices! And it can go up to 200GW with 1000 slices! I've just learned that the cost is not linear because a 10*10*10 cube cost 2300Tr while a 10*0.1*10 slice costs 370Tr. For reference, a 10^3 generator costs 50000Tr with 100GW. My new thoughts on solar panels: they're expensive but space-saving. Although, I dislike that their output is based on surface area alone. I don't want to click a thousand times to utilize solar panels on my ships. What if they had quintuple the output but only worked when exposed on the outside? The game could check for exposure by checking in the same way it does with hangers. If that were to happen, then it should check and count only one or two faces. They would be a weak point of the ship but would grant a major energy bonus.
  13. I'm just wondering how many hours that the members of the forum have. I have nearly 200 legitimate hours at this time of writing. 1/3 of that might be from building my ships, lol. Have a nice day : D
  14. Haha how sad to have thought you lost your ship like that. I'm glad that I had learned online about how futile my fight could be if I don't armor myself in rock.
  15. Not a bad idea! It could also work for scanning asteroids and ships in the same sector. Or it could do neither but be a part of a future update where ship stealth is (probably) introduced.
  16. Not my type of humor but good job and I like your accent : D
  17. Is anyone able to listen to the music files? SirCharles and I cannot. I once was able to convert the files to mp3 online and was able to listen to that, but now every site presents an error message during conversion : ( But that's not too bad. Can't wait to hear it in game right now, lol.
  18. We'll miss you, Kamo! Come back soon!
  19. There are multiple ideas there, guys. I suggest that you all take a look.
