  1. Interesting. I'm not sure why that doesnt work for you. it is entirely possible they are just hard-coded to not have a sound file or something. i've not looked too deep into it
  2. ones you download from the workshop will be listed in your steamapps/workshop/content/445220/ folder. the IDs can be tracked via the URL of the workshop page you downloaded it from. you can find the xml files inside these folders.
  3. as best as ive been able to tell, you can't add sounds that arent already there. if you are okay with them using the same sounds as the existing mining lasers though i believe its possible to tell them to use the same sound files but I'll need to double check first. go to "Steam\steamapps\common\Avorion\data\scripts\lib\weapongenerator.lua" and look for the point defence laser and regular laser sections. look for the weapon sound bit and replace the "laser" with "mining" so it looks like this. weapon.sound = "mining" give it a test drive. I've not tested it myself but the theory stands that it should work
  4. Oh hey~ my ship was added! I hope you guys enjoy my little contribution to fleshing out the imperial fleet with an older, light frigate design!
  5. Hey guys, So, I've noticed that, in the current beta version at least, the turret groups seem to change by themselves when I switch ships. Say I have two ships. Ship A has 5 turrets in groups 1 - my main guns, 2 - my point defence guns and 9 - my mining lasers. When I switch from Ship A to Ship B, do some stuff in Ship B for about 15 minutes, then back into Ship A and all of a sudden group 1 is my mining lasers and everything else is in group 2. Anyone else experiencing this, or am i just going crazy?
