  1. Yes, thanks for reading, I hope the new AI stuff does help many things...I love Avorion and I want it to be the best it can be. I always have more ideas and suggestions as you said the problem being How viable are they to add into the game and do they at all fit in with what The Dev team already had in mind...and how much of the player base want something i mentioned? Thanks for All of your work, I havent had soo much fun in a space game to date and could not remember the last time i had such a blast playing a game...i think it was Dragon Raja beta...FYI (1999-2000).
  2. SO i forgot a few things... Stations for players to trade turrets/systems even offline; think of sort of "auction house". Also an easier way for players to trade Cargo... Better cargo management...just add a quantity prompt even for dump cargo...have dump/transfer 1-99999 or all. Torps...i hate them still but it would be neat to have torps handle similar to fighters and let players be able to produce torps similar to fighers...IMO. Currently to expensive to use them...this suggestion would take lots of testing/feedback... Also when it comes to turrets and point of aim...if the turret is on the front of my ship it should be aiming for the WHITE + on the front of my ship and nowhere else. The placement should not matter. Right now on my current ship the turrets are placed on the front of the flat center point of the ship and their aim is Super low compared to the + Im sure ill think for more as time goes on and i play more...Thanks!
  3. This could work...but what about stability of sectors...pirate attacks ect...would this affect prices? should it?
  4. I agree, there needs to be more options with ai ships id say pirates even...perhaps be able to hire them to pirate? or have allied ships hire you for escort or protections or as a mercenary for their interests. Lots of options and potential here.
  5. Ok so I will start by saying thank you for making this game and taking the time to read what is likely to be a lengthy review/feedback/suggestions post. Some of these are small things, but this game is still in development and i want Avorion to become all it can be...and i Love it already. I cant sit back and let this game become another game i once love and abandon because something was added or subtracted that killed it for me...and Thats right devs for some players adding or removing 1 thing can Kill their whole experience. Just fyi. Now onto the meat. Salvaging and lasers....especially the independent targeting types...well they need to prioritize the blocks with the most materials and forget the tiny pieces or Make no tiny pieces if a large part of the salvaged ship is destroyed convert all the tiny pieces into materials as well. (right now its a pain to watch your salvage laser try to hit something worth 1 or 2 material and not be able to hit it for ages...also why make so many pieces for the game or server to have to keep track of?) ALSO please increase if its not, the Area in which any Ship can Loot Based on ITS SIZE...without the need for the Tractor beam...I get it the beams an UPGRADE but it shouldent be Required to loot with a giant ship. IM saying we should have both. But as i said the Beam is an UPGRADE. Without it on a large ship u cant loot jack. Factions and Rep...please add some kind of way to prevent accidentally losing most/all of your rep by shooting through a stations shield or area as ive had ships be so close to a station i accidentally shot through their shields being unable to See if the enemy ship was IN front of OR Behind the station. I said make a way to Lock ur rep from accidentally losing it, but perhaps have a Prompt that comes up and says Please cease or you will lose rep and or have to pay x fines for destoying xyz...so shooting through shields should not make u lose rep by accident. Perhaps pay fines to not lose rep. ID rather lose some cred than all my rep in 2 accidental shots Which happened. This leads to my next point DOCKS and Ships need to have some kind of symbol maybe even a letter to show if they are IN front of or Behind something else. Docks its as easy as an X instead of the box we usually have if lets say the dock ur headed to is on the other side of the station. Heck you could have an X over the ship if its not a Clean line of sight...being you can hit an ally ship or station if you were to shoot this target... Research stations...I love them...but we either need crafted turrets to have a crafted tag, thus enabling my next suggestion/change...if i take the time to make 5 or 100 of the same turret but all i get back is junk of a higher tier whats the point? I feel adding the crafted tag would easily allow you to make it to where u get at LEAST as good (should improve still) of a turret as u put in for 5 of the EXACT same turret. Otherwise no issues with the Research station and im glad they are there. Next im not sure if you guys added the buy/sell options for the goods on claimable mines/stations but i love it, EXCEPT why cant i take any cargo capable drone of mine Within the Same sector and have it run in this case Scrap and coal to my steel station? I was told drone cargo fighters work but I dont want to Sit in this Sector. I feel like Someone had a huge brain fart there...why not be able to assign one of my cargo haulers similar to how the NPCs haulers move things for the npc Factions. Small suggestion Please make it to where the Generic crew can LVL up as well in whatever role u put them in...just make it take more time to get to lvl 1. ALSO ADD MORE CREW TO ALL STATIONS THE CLOSER YOU GET TO THE CORE. This makes sense as your ship should grow. Small weapons suggestion...make missiles and cannon projectiles faster...i know its possible they are slow so we can dodge them as players, but if the new ai mod makes enemies faster...its really going to make these weapons ineffective, plus to me it makes me not use cannons/launchers because they take forever to hit the target vs rails. Balance. Larger asteroids near the core...Now maybe im not paying attention or havent seen 1...but I feel like as you get closer to the core there should be perhaps be Rare Asteroids of Materials that are HUGE similar to the huge stations/ships you get to salvage. Some people just like mining...ALSO i myself would much prefer that all the asteroids be mineable for significant resources and a medley, say in a titanium area, asteroids of iron/titanium/nao and perhaps rarely some trin...this is just an idea and suggestion. ALL my other previous stuff is Way more of an issue. Finally, ID love to have some Characters in the game...thats right NPC Captains/characters who can be equipped on your ship you can have stories/missions for them some can be various sexes/qualities and boost different things about your ship...some ideas i had were, Captain that boost your production capacity and fighters capabilities...you could have these pretty random for more generic or specific "hero" type captains. This would add another lvl to ship customizations and allow for MANY interesting missions/side missions and more Random encounter type things...maybe you find a abandoned ship and get an Exotic captain that boosts your speed, maneuverability and shields. These are just some of the options/ideas you could pull off. Maybe that ship you just rescued from pirates grants you a new captain who boosts Your weapons on the ship. Heh you could also add hero recruiting to "Bars" and the Casino...I wanted to have a station "bar" that basically just makes money for having visitors...Maybe you can hire heroes from the cantina/bars? Or get info/missions from them...kind of like other rpgs with rumors... Thanks, for reading let me know your thoughts and opinions.
